A simultaneous worldwide release is planned. The official site has four regional editions — Japanese, English, English (Asia), and Traditional Chinese — but details about retail availability by country have not been announced.

An overview has been revealed. The July 29, 2026 reveal announced the basic structure: five card types (Leader, Character, EX Character, Chakra, Summon), battles with 1 Leader + a 50-card deck + 5 Chakra cards + 1 Summon card, and victory by reducing the opponent Leader's Life to 0. In addition, the official playmat distributed at Gen Con 2026 confirms a 4-phase turn (Refresh → Draw → Main → End) — read from a venue handout, not a formal announcement. Detailed rules such as what happens in each phase, and the rulebook, remain unpublished. See our explainer article for more.

Both confirmed Leader cards print LIFE 15 on the card face: Naruto Uzumaki (N-001) and Sasuke Uchiha (N-012), which also share the same DMG 1 / POW 3. The official site states the win condition as "reduce your opponent Leader's LP to 0" (the Japanese site's prose uses "LP" while the card face reads "LIFE"). With only two Leaders confirmed, however, we cannot say whether every Leader has 15. It is also unannounced how much Life a single attack removes — whether the DMG printed on a Character is what comes off the Leader's Life — so "how many attacks does it take" cannot be calculated yet. Of the 22 cards whose text can be read, only two touch the Life number: Kakashi Hatake (N-009), "reduce your Life by 2," and Karin (N-010), "gain 2 Life." No confirmed card reduces the opponent's Life directly.

The official card list is unrevealed, but sample card faces have started to appear. In the July 29, 2026 reveal, the official site posted 12 sample cards in its artwork gallery (names and traits only) and 7 more in the card-type and how-to-play sections (including the Leader "Naruto Uzumaki" N-001, with card numbers and effect text legible). Photos of English-version demo cards taken at Gen Con 2026 have also confirmed further card faces, such as the EX Characters Sasuke Uchiha (N-014) and Naruto Uzumaki (N-003) (read from venue photos — not formal announcements). Confirmed cards are added to our card database as they appear.

Unannounced. The July 29, 2026 reveal confirmed the setup — 1 Leader card + a 50-card deck + 5 Chakra cards + 1 Summon card — but no limit on copies of the same card name has been explained. Several confirmed cards reference other cards by name (for example Ino Yamanaka N-011, "if you have Shikamaru Nara and Choji Akimichi") or reveal the top of the deck for a hit check, and their real strength cannot be worked out until the copy limit is known. Awaiting the rulebook.

Their card text reads "Cannot be summoned normally"; instead they arrive by meeting the condition printed under [Summon Requirements]. On all four confirmed EX Characters the condition is a form of "place your own Characters in your trash" — Manda (N-022) needs 1 of your Characters; Gamabunta (N-005) needs 1 of your Characters with 10 or more power; Naruto Uzumaki (N-003) needs 1 of your Characters plus 1 with 10 or more power; and Sasuke Uchiha (N-014) needs 1 of your Characters plus 1 with the {The Taka} trait. The exact procedure once the condition is met (whether a Summon card is required, whether Chakra is paid) is unannounced.

Some do. Of the 24 revealed entries with readable effect text, only 4 mention the trash (the four EX Characters), and just 2 of those say they summon a Character back out of it. Gamabunta (N-005) reads "Summon 1 non-EX [Naruto Uzumaki], [Jiraiya], or [Minato Namikaze] Character from your trash," while Naruto Uzumaki (N-003) reads "up to 1 [Naruto Uzumaki] from your deck or trash" — so only N-005 names the trash exclusively. The field is the only destination written: no revealed card returns anything from the trash to hand or deck, and none touches the opponent's trash. Note also that not one card states that K.O.'d cards are placed in the trash; with the rulebook unpublished, where they go is unconfirmed.

The list of colors is unannounced. The official site describes Character cards as cards you build to match your Leader's color, so color is confirmed to be a deck-building axis — but how many colors exist, and which card is which color, has not been shown. The first entry in the trait line of confirmed cards reads Wind, Fire, Lightning, Water, Special, Taijutsu, or Illusion, and these may correspond to colors; with no official explanation, we do not state that as fact. Note also that several characters have multiple cards whose leading trait differs from one card to the next.

The card text implies it normally cannot. On Ino Yamanaka (N-011) the meaning of [Rush] is spelled out in reminder text — "(This card can attack on the turn in which it is summoned.)" — which implies that Characters normally cannot attack the turn they arrive. Only 4 of the 38 revealed entries touch [Rush]: it is printed on EX Naruto Uzumaki (N-003) and EX Sasuke Uchiha (N-014), while Minato Namikaze (N-007) and Ino Yamanaka (N-011) gain it conditionally. Note that this is read from reminder text on a sample card; no rulebook wording has been published.

One card says so outright. The Support "Shadow Possession Jutsu" on Shikamaru Nara (N-008) reads: [During Your Opponent’s Attack] Summon this card and interrupt that attack. Five other Supports can also be played [During Your Opponent’s Attack] — Jiraiya (N-006), Orochimaru, Hinata Hyuga, Sakura Haruno, and Karin (N-010) — but they K.O., bounce, or gain Life; none of them state that the attack itself stops. What happens to an attack when the attacking Character is K.O.’d has never been explained officially.

Nothing has been announced about Chakra increasing. The official site describes deck construction as 1 Leader + a 50-card deck + 5 Chakra cards + 1 Summon card, and the revealed C-001 Chakra Card reads "When using Chakra, flip this card face-down." Both Leader cards (N-001, N-012) carry [Recovery]: "If it is the second turn or later, rest this card and flip all of your CHAKRA face-up" — a way to return spent Chakra. On current evidence, Chakra is not a growing resource but a fixed set of five cycled between face-down and face-up. Whether it stays at five for the whole game has not been stated officially.

The number has not been announced. The official playmat handed out at Gen Con 2026 confirms a four-phase turn — Refresh, Draw, Main, End — so a Draw Phase certainly exists. How many cards you draw in it, whether the player going first draws on turn one, and how large the opening hand is have all gone unstated. Separately, of the 38 revealed entries only one uses the word "draw": the Leader effect on Sasuke Uchiha (N-012), and it continues "then place 1 card from your hand on top of your deck," so hand size does not change. Within the revealed pool, no way of adding cards to your hand outside the Draw Phase has been confirmed — most likely because draw cards simply have not been shown yet.

Four are readable on the cards themselves: L, SR, R, and C. The mark sits to the right of the card number. Across the 18 cards where it is legible, the split is 2 L (the Leaders, Naruto Uzumaki N-001 and Sasuke Uchiha N-012), 5 SR, 6 R, and 5 C. This is read from the English demo cards handed out at Gen Con 2026 and from sample images on the official site; no official rarity list has been published, and whether higher rarities such as parallel or secret variants exist is unknown.

Yes, officially previewed. The official "ABOUT NARUTO CARD GAME" page states that the game will include "a variety of cards using newly drawn illustrations from the anime and from various creators, as well as artwork from the original manga," and the ARTWORK gallery on that page shows 12 illustration cards. Two of them (Tsunade and Boruto Uzumaki) have been shown as physical sample cards in videos posted by the official English X account on August 4 and August 12, 2026, confirming they exist in printed form. However, the card numbers, costs, rarities and effect text of those 12 cards — and which product they appear in and how to obtain them — are all unannounced.

Yes. So far the confirmed promo is card number CP-001, "Chakra Card," which is produced in event-specific versions. The English official site lists the Gen Con 2026 attendee gift "-Gen Con 2026 Ver.-" (July 30 – August 2, 2026, Indianapolis, USA), the "-New York Yankees™ Ver.-" to be handed out at "NARUTO x YANKEES GAME NIGHT" at Yankee Stadium on September 8, 2026, and the attendee gifts for New York Comic Con 2026 and PAX Aus 2026 (listed without a version name). For all of them, the card image, effect text, quantity and eligibility remain unpublished. Note that CP-001 carries a different card number from the sample Chakra Card "C-001."

Some of them, yes. The sample card images on the Japanese official "About NARUTO CARD GAME" page are in Japanese, and cards such as Naruto Uzumaki (N-001, Leader) and Ino Yamanaka (N-011) are legible down to their effect text (all carry a SAMPLE watermark and a NOT FOR SALE marking). The physical demo cards distributed and displayed at Gen Con 2026, however, are English-language only, and the official Japanese text for the cards first revealed there has not been published. In our card database, Japanese text for cards confirmed only in English is labelled explicitly as a reference translation modelled on previously revealed cards.

The world's first demo event was held at Gen Con 2026 (July 30 – August 2, 2026, Indianapolis, US), where both tutorial sessions sold out. The next opportunities come in October 2026: details for tutorial sessions at New York Comic Con 2026 (Oct 8–11, Javits Center booth #2705) and PAX Aus 2026 (Oct 9–11, MCEC Melbourne) were published on August 7, 2026. Both are free, with registration planned on-site on the day (one session per person for the whole convention). To receive the participant gifts — a "CP-001 Chakra Card" and a logo sticker — you must be registered to the "NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL" on BANDAI TCG+ and complete a post-session survey. For BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 (11 cities worldwide), four cities have confirmed dates and venues as of August 22, 2026: Jakarta (Oct 10–11), Manila (Oct 24–25), Hong Kong (Nov 28–29) and Orlando (Jan 7–10, 2027, Orange County Convention Center). All four list NARUTO CARD GAME among their participating titles (attendance requires advance application; NARUTO session details are unannounced). Spiel Essen, Paris Games Week and Lucca Comics & Games are on the official roadmap too, but no NARUTO details have been announced for them.

No standalone demo event in Japan has been announced. BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 (11 cities worldwide), on the official roadmap published July 29, 2026, includes a Tokyo stop and lists the NARUTO Card Game among its participating titles — but as of August 22, 2026 the Tokyo stop is still labelled only "Early 2027", with no dates and no venue (its detail page on the Fest site is not published yet). The four Fest cities with confirmed dates and venues — Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong and Orlando (Jan 7–10, 2027) — are all outside Japan. Other demo events after Gen Con 2026 are planned at New York Comic Con, PAX Aus, Spiel Essen, Paris Games Week and Lucca Comics & Games. We will report on our event calendar and news pages as soon as details for Tokyo are announced.

The product lineup (booster packs, starter decks, etc.) and pricing are all unannounced. As a related product, the "NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat" ($35 excl. tax, arriving 2027) has been announced. At Gen Con 2026 it was voucher-only for participants, but on August 7, 2026 it was announced that it will be sold directly at the booth at New York Comic Con 2026 and PAX Aus 2026 (one per person, limited quantities each day). No general retail release has been announced.

The next reveal window with a confirmed date and time is the New York Comic Con 2026 panel "NARUTO: What's Next?". The NYCC official schedule lists it for Saturday, October 10, 2026, 5:00–6:00 PM local time (6:00 AM JST on October 11) at North-Level 5: Empire Stage, tagged Reservation Needed, and its description promises "the latest updates on the anime, the NARUTO CARD GAME, and other exciting new projects" plus a new roadmap for the NARUTO universe. The NARUTO official site's top page counts down to the same moment. What will actually be announced is unannounced, and new facts may also surface on the official site or social accounts before then.
