Ahead of the July 29 reveal — everything officially announced so far

Less than three weeks remain until the next NARUTO Card Game information drop. Ahead of the full reveal on July 29, 2026 (Wed) at 23:00 JST / 10:00 a.m. EDT, this column recaps everything confirmed so far through official announcements and press releases, in chronological order.

June 18: Bandai announces the NARUTO Card Game

Bandai announced the NARUTO Card Game as a new TCG under the BANDAI CARD GAMES brand. The official press release confirmed:

  • The official title is “NARUTO Card Game”
  • A simultaneous worldwide release planned for 2027
  • The world’s first Tutorial Sessions planned for Gen Con 2026
  • A fuller reveal scheduled for July 29, the day before Gen Con opens

The official teaser site features a message and an illustrated shikishi from series creator Masashi Kishimoto: “I’m glad to see the world of NARUTO grow larger once again.”

June 21: Gen Con 2026 ticket registration opens

Ticket registration for the Tutorial Sessions opened on the Gen Con 2026 website on June 21 at 12:00 PDT.

Gen Con 2026 demo event details (published on the official site)

The official English site has published details of the world’s first demo event:

  • Dates: July 30 (Thu) – August 2 (Sun), 2026
  • Venue: Indiana Convention Center (Indianapolis, US), Event Room #121
  • Participation gift: a gift set with the promo card “CP-001 Chakra Card -Gen Con 2026 Ver.-”, a special backpack, a logo sticker, and a purchase voucher for the official playmat (one session and one set per person)

The card name “Chakra Card” also confirms the existence of a chakra-related card type.

What we still don’t know

The following has not yet been officially announced:

  • Game rules and how to play
  • Card list and card designs (beyond the “Chakra Card” name)
  • Product lineup and pricing
  • Details for specific regions, such as release dates and local demo events

Next reveal: July 29 (Wed)

The official site says the next information drop is scheduled for July 29, 2026 (Wed) at 23:00 JST / 10:00 a.m. EDT. According to the press release, it is expected to include card designs and a fuller look at the game.
