Official X Account Shows a Physical Sample of the Boruto Uzumaki Illustration Card on Video — Same Format as the August 4 Tsunade Reveal
The official English X account @narutotcg_eng posted a roughly 7-second video of the Boruto Uzumaki illustration card on August 12 at 9:00 JST (00:00 UTC).
Here’s Boruto Uzumaki!
Who’s your favorite Ninja?
The card shown is the Boruto Uzumaki illustration card that had been posted as an image in the ARTWORK gallery of the official “About the NARUTO Card Game” page since the July 29 information reveal. In this video, it appears as a physical printed card, filmed rotating against a black background.
The two cards shown as physical samples so far
Of the 12 pieces in the ARTWORK gallery, the official English X account has shown these two as physical sample cards:
- Boruto Uzumaki — posted August 12, 2026 (Lightning / Hidden Leaf Village)
Filmed rotating against a black background, showing a finish that shimmers with rainbow colors as the viewing angle changes - Tsunade — posted August 4, 2026 (Special / Hidden Leaf Village)
The first video in this format, published as “this Tsunade that got a lot of interest” at Gen Con
What the video confirms
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Card name | Boruto Uzumaki |
| Trait line | Lightning / Hidden Leaf Village |
| Markings | CHARACTER, SAMPLE |
| Stat display | DMG 3, POW 6, HP 6 |
| Closing frame | NARUTO CARD GAME “Arriving in Summer 2027” |
The card face matches what was already confirmed from the gallery image (card DB entry). Two things are newly confirmed:
- The illustration card exists as a physical printed card. Until now, the 12 ARTWORK gallery pieces could only be confirmed as images on the official site. At least this Boruto exists as a physical card (it carries the SAMPLE marking, so it remains a development sample)
- The card has a finish that shimmers with rainbow colors as the viewing angle changes. The rotation shows the whole face catching the light — something flat images could not convey (the official name of the finish and the retail specification are unannounced)
A note on the stat display (DMG 3 / POW 6 / HP 6): as covered in our character roster article, these values are identical across all 12 gallery pieces, so this site treats them as unconfirmed for the final game. The video confirms the same values are printed on the physical sample, but whether they are final gameplay values remains unconfirmed.
Same format as the August 4 Tsunade video — and more reveals promised
The Tsunade video went up on August 4 at 23:00 JST, and its caption promised more of the same.
As a thank-you to all who visited us at Gen Con and to our followers on social media, we’re giving you a look at this Tsunade that got a lot of interest!
Keep an eye on our social media for more art, cards, and NARUTO CARD GAME information!
The account explicitly says more art, cards, and information will be published on social media — and Boruto followed one week later. The other gallery cards (Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Itachi Uchiha and more) may well appear in the same format, so the official social accounts remain worth watching.
Still unannounced
- The card number, cost, rarity, and effect text of this illustration card
- Which product the card will be included in and how to obtain it (no product placement has been announced for any of the 12 gallery pieces)
- The official name of the shimmering finish and its retail specification
- Japanese-version card text (the card in the video uses English text)
Separately, other images claimed to show “physical illustration cards” are circulating on social media. They cannot be confirmed through the official website or official accounts, so this site does not cover them (our policy is to publish only facts confirmed via official sources). If and when they are officially confirmed, we will cover them in the card database and news.
All confirmed cards are in the card database, and the sequence of announcements so far is on the timeline.
