The official site quietly changed "10 stores nationwide" to "11 stores nationwide" — an 18-day count mismatch resolved with no correction note, while the same site's English page carries an explicit "Correction Notice"
The official site fixed it without saying so.
The Japanese NARUTO CARD GAME official site’s 先行体験会 (Premier Demo Event) page. Checking it today (October 31, 2026), the heading at the top of the page reads (verbatim):
NAURTOカードゲームの先行体験会を全国11店舗で開催! (“The NAURTO Card Game Premier Demo Event will be held at 11 stores nationwide!”)
The “10 stores nationwide” this site has recorded since the page went live on October 13 is now “11 stores nationwide.”
Basis for this article: Everything below is based on the Japanese official site’s 先行体験会 page (checked 08:14 JST, October 31, 2026), the English “Premier Demo Event” page (checked the same day), and Wayback Machine snapshots of both pages. Quotations reproduce the official wording exactly. Plans may change.
1. For 18 days, the numbers did not add up
First, what the mismatch was. The official page states a venue count in three places.
| Where it appears | October 13 (launch) | October 20 | October 31 (today) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heading | 10 stores | 10 stores | 11 stores |
| Venue list | 11 venues | 11 venues | 11 venues |
| Application groups, total | 10 venues | 11 venues | 11 venues |
At launch on October 13, the heading’s 10 matched the application groups’ 10, and only the 11-venue list stood apart. Our October 13 article noted that “the venue list has 11 entries, which does not match the ‘10 stores nationwide’ heading,” and that there was no official explanation of which was correct.
Then on October 20, the Kyoto venue was added to the March application group, bringing the groups to 11 venues. From that point the heading was the only count that did not fit, and we left one line in that article’s open-questions section: “whether the ‘10 stores nationwide’ heading will be corrected.”
Today that line has an answer. The heading now says 11 stores, and all three counts agree.
- October 13Page goes live. Heading 10 / list 11 / groups 10
- October 20Kyoto added to groups. Only the heading does not fit
- October 20–31The heading is rewritten to 11 stores in this window
- October 31All three counts agree. No official note
2. Is the heading really the only change?
To say “only the heading changed” with confidence, we compared the whole page mechanically.
We converted the Wayback Machine snapshot from 05:31 UTC on October 15 and today’s page to text and compared them in full. There are only three differences.
| Difference | Content | How we treated it |
|---|---|---|
| (1) Language switcher | 简体中文 added after 繁體中文 (in three places: header, footer, in-page) | Already reported on October 23 |
| (2) Heading | “held at 10 stores nationwide!” → “held at 11 stores nationwide!” | This article (new) |
| (3) Application groups | “March venues (Hokkaido, Aichi)” → “March venues (Hokkaido, Aichi, Kyoto)” | Already reported on October 20 |
So (2) is the only new finding today, and nothing else changed by a single character. The 11-venue list, the demo decks (Naruto Deck / Sasuke Deck, not available to take home), the participant gift (CP-001 Chakra Card), how to apply (advance application via BANDAI TCG+), and the merchandise (CHAKRA set ¥1,650 / playmat ¥3,850, one each per person) are all identical.
The application dates did not change either. The nearest deadline for readers is the January group:
| Group | Venues | Application period | Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| January venues | Saitama, Tokyo 1st, Tokyo 2nd, Hiroshima, Fukuoka | Tue, Dec 1 – Sun, Dec 20 | Fri, Dec 25 |
| February venues | Sendai, Osaka, Ehime | Fri, Dec 25 – Mon, Jan 11 | Fri, Jan 15 |
| March venues | Hokkaido, Aichi, Kyoto | Mon, Feb 1 – Sun, Feb 14 | Fri, Feb 19 |
3. The rewrite window is “October 20 to October 31”
On timing, we will state only what can be narrowed down.
When this site checked on October 20, the heading still read “10 stores nationwide” (that article records it in a table as “Heading / held at 10 stores nationwide (unchanged)”). Today, October 31, it reads 11 stores.
Two reasons it cannot be narrowed further:
- The last Wayback Machine snapshot is from 05:31 UTC on October 15. There are no captures from October 16 onward (only October 13 and October 15; the first October 15 entry is a 301 redirect)
- The server returns no
Last-Modifiedheader. Today’s response headers carry onlyDate,Server: Apacheand CloudFront cache information — nothing that indicates a modification time
So the certainty stops at “10 stores as of October 20, 11 stores as of October 31.” The page’s posting date still reads “2026.10.13,” and no new entry has appeared in the official news list.
4. The same site’s English page has a “Correction Notice”
This is the point most worth writing down today.
This official site has two different ways of showing a correction.
Today’s Japanese fix was a silent rewrite, as described above. Meanwhile, the merchandise section of the same site’s English “Premier Demo Event” page reads as follows as of today (verbatim):
NARUTO CARD GAME Premium Card Collection vol.00 -CHAKRA set- will also be available at: -BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in ORLANDO -BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in LONDON
*Correction Notice (October 22, 2026) This product will not be available for purchase at BANDAI CARD Fest 26-27 in ORLANDO / LONDON.
This is the correction we covered in our October 23 article. The original text is left in place, with a dated correction added beneath it. What was wrong, and when it was fixed, is visible just by looking at the page.
Two practices sit side by side on one site.
| English page (October 22 correction) | Japanese page (today’s correction) | |
|---|---|---|
| Correction announced | *Correction Notice (October 22, 2026), stated explicitly | None |
| Original text | Left in place, correction added below | Overwritten (the original “10 stores” is gone) |
| Date | Correction date is given | Posting date still “2026.10.13” |
| Can readers notice? | Yes, from the page itself | Only by comparing against an archive |
This is not an argument about which is better. What matters in practice is that changes to the Japanese pages arrive in a form you cannot notice. That is exactly why this site keeps fetching the main pages daily and comparing them in full.
For the record, a full-text comparison of the English page against its 12:39 UTC, October 22 snapshot shows only the three 简体中文 additions. Today’s heading fix landed on the Japanese page alone (the English heading reads “Try out NARUTO CARD GAME at participating BANDAI TCG+ Stores!” and never carried a store count).
5. The “NAURTO” misspelling is still there
The store count is fixed, but the other error in the same heading is not.
NAURTOカードゲームの先行体験会を全国11店舗で開催! デモデッキを使ってNAURTOカードゲームの世界を体験しよう!
The series name is written “NAURTO” rather than “NARUTO” (the R and U are swapped). Both the heading and the lead sentence remain unfixed, 18 days after we first recorded it on October 13.
Of the two errors in the same heading, the number was fixed and the spelling was not. There is no official explanation why.
6. Correcting our own text
Because the heading was fixed, statements left on this site became wrong as of today. The affected places are listed below, and all were corrected today (in all three languages).
| Where we corrected | Statement that became wrong |
|---|---|
| October 13 article | “The venue list has 11 entries, which does not match the ‘10 stores nationwide’ heading” / open question “Why the ‘10 stores nationwide’ heading and the 11 venues disagree” |
| October 20 article | “Heading / held at 10 stores nationwide (unchanged)” / “the heading is the only count that does not fit” / open question “Whether the ‘10 stores nationwide’ heading will be corrected” |
| Timeline | “The page heading still reads ‘NAURTOカードゲームの先行体験会を全国10店舗で開催!’” |
| FAQ | “the heading is the only count that does not fit” |
| Preorder & lottery hub | “the official page’s heading still reads ‘全国10店舗で開催!’” |
| Event calendar | “In Japan, 11 venues nationwide (the official page’s heading says ‘10 stores nationwide’)” |
The October 13 and October 20 records were accurate descriptions of the page at the time (the archives above confirm this). But readers of this site were left with text saying the mismatch still stood. We apologise and have corrected it.
7. What is still unknown
- Whether the “NAURTO” misspelling will be fixed (both instances remain)
- Capacity (how many applicants are selected per venue; not stated for any of the 11)
- Hours (neither check-in times nor the number of sessions per venue is stated)
- Admission fee (overseas demo pages state “Admission: Free,” but the Japanese page says nothing)
- Age limits and whether BANDAI TCG+ face photo registration is required (not stated on the Japanese page; the English (Asia) and 繁體中文 versions of the same page state that face photo registration is mandatory — see our October 20 article)
- The edition name of the CP-001 participant gift (no “-Gen Con 2026 Ver.-” style label, so whether the artwork matches the overseas version is unannounced)
Summary
- The heading on the Japanese official site’s 先行体験会 page was rewritten from “10 stores nationwide” to “11 stores nationwide.” Together with the venue list and the application groups, all three counts now agree
- This settles the open question we had carried since October 13: whether the heading would be corrected. The mismatch stood for 18 days
- There is no correction note, and the posting date still reads “2026.10.13.” A full-text comparison against the October 15 Wayback snapshot shows three differences, two of which were already reported
- The rewrite happened between October 20 and October 31 (from our own October 20 record and today’s check)
- The same official site’s English page carries an explicit “
*Correction Notice (October 22, 2026).” Two correction practices coexist on one site - The “NAURTO” misspelling remains unfixed in both the heading and the lead sentence
- The application dates are unchanged. Applications for the January venues run Tue, December 1 – Sun, December 20, 2026, with results on Fri, December 25
The latest application status is collected on our preorder & lottery hub. Ahead of the December 1 opening, we reflect any official additions the same day.
