Lucca day 4 — only four "Sold out" windows left on the playmat reservation page. The "collection date arrives, status turns Closed" rule now holds for all 16 scheduled windows, and the waiting list stopped updating yesterday
There are four “Sold out” windows left.
Lucca Comics & Games 2026 (October 28 – November 1, Italy), where NARUTO CARD GAME tutorial sessions are running, is on day 4 today. The event ends tomorrow.
Checking Italian organiser Play-system’s playmat reservation page today (08:14 JST / 00:14 CET on October 31), the window statuses had moved again.
Basis for this article: Everything below is based on Play-system’s “Reserve Playmat” page (checked 00:14 CET, October 31, 2026), its “Naruto Demo - Waiting list” page (checked the same day), and the English NARUTO CARD GAME official site’s Lucca page (checked the same day). Quotations reproduce the English wording exactly. We do not estimate figures the pages do not state, such as the number of playmats per window.
1. Today’s state — 19 Closed / 4 Sold out
First, the full breakdown of today’s 23 windows.
| Reservation date | Time | Collection date | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 21 | 10:00 / 12:00 / 14:00 / 16:00 | October 28 | Closed |
| October 22 | 10:00 / 12:00 / 14:00 / 16:00 | October 29 | Closed |
| October 23 | 10:00 / 12:00 / 14:00 / 16:00 | October 30 | Closed |
| October 24 | 10:00 / 12:00 / 14:00 / 16:00 | October 31 (today) | Closed (was Sold out yesterday) |
| October 25 | 10:00 / 12:00 / 14:00 / 16:00 | November 1 | Sold out |
| October 28 | 17:00 | October 28 | Closed (re-release window) |
| October 29 | 17:00 | October 29 | Closed (re-release window) |
| October 30 | 17:00 | October 30 | Closed (re-release window that appeared today) |
Counted by HTML class, there are 19 instances of class="closed" and 4 of class="soldout" (yesterday: 14 and 8).
2. The rule holds for all 16 scheduled windows
In our October 28 article, alongside the first sighting of a Closed label, we proposed a reading — that it is applied not because collection finished but because the collection date arrived — and set out how to test it.
As of today that test has run four days straight, across all 16 scheduled windows.
| Date checked | Scheduled windows that turned Closed | Collection date | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| October 28 | The four opened on October 21 | October 28 | As predicted |
| October 29 | The four opened on October 22 | October 29 | As predicted |
| October 30 | The four opened on October 23 | October 30 | As predicted |
| October 31 (today) | The four opened on October 24 | October 31 | As predicted |
All four checks were made between 00:14 and 00:17 local time. Collection starts at 10:00, so the windows were already Closed before a single collection had taken place that day. Having observed the same behaviour at the same hour four days running, the reading that a window switches to Closed once its collection date arrives holds without exception for the scheduled windows.
That said, the page offers no explanation of this behaviour. There is no text describing what the status labels mean; the CSS simply defines five of them (notyet / coming / closed / soldout / available). We treat this only as an observed regularity and do not assert the organiser’s intent.
3. The scheduled releases ended on October 25
This is the most practically important point today.
No more playmat purchase windows will be added. The release period is stated plainly in the page body (verbatim):
Reservations will open progressively from October 21 to October 25, 2026, with four reservation windows opening each day at: 10:00 · 12:00 · 14:00 · 16:00 Each reservation day corresponds to the event day exactly one week later.
The English official site’s Lucca page says the same thing:
Playmat purchase tickets will be released progressively, one week before each event day. For example, tickets for Wednesday, October 28 will be available from Wednesday, October 21, and tickets for Thursday, October 29 will be available from Thursday, October 22. This process will continue for each remaining event day.
The event runs five days, October 28 – November 1, and one week before the final day (November 1) is October 25. So the scheduled releases finished with the four windows on October 25, and all 20 (5 days × 4 windows) have now been released.
- October 214 windows (collection Oct 28) → sold out
- October 224 windows (collection Oct 29) → sold out
- October 234 windows (collection Oct 30) → sold out
- October 244 windows (collection Oct 31) → sold out
- October 254 windows (collection Nov 1) → sold out. Scheduled releases end
In our October 26 article we recorded that all 20 windows had gone Sold out. Five days on, 16 of those 20 have been overwritten as Closed, and only the final four remain.
The only purchase route left is the re-release. That clause in the page body is unchanged:
Any remaining playmats resulting from cancellations or no-shows will be made available for reservation on the same booking page, starting at approximately 17:00 each event day, subject to availability.
17:00 CET is roughly 01:00 the next day in Japan. The 17:00 slots today (October 31) and tomorrow (November 1) are the remaining opportunities.
4. Re-release windows have appeared three days running
That the re-release is actually created as a window has now been confirmed for the third consecutive day.
| Window observed | Labels | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 21st (seen October 29) | 17:00 / 28 October 2026 / Collection: 28 Oct 17:00 | Closed |
| 22nd (seen October 30) | 17:00 / 29 October 2026 / Collection: 29 Oct 17:00 | Closed |
| 23rd (seen today) | 17:00 / 30 October 2026 / Collection: 30 Oct 17:00 | Closed |
All three follow the reservation date = collection date = same time pattern, unlike the scheduled windows (collection exactly one week after the reservation date). The reading we offered in the October 29 article — that these are created for each event day — has now held three days in a row.
The quantities, however, remain unreadable. All three are Closed by the time we check the following morning. Whether even one playmat was released through these windows, and how many, cannot be determined from the page. That information is only visible to someone watching at the moment of the re-release (17:00 local, 01:00 the next day in Japan).
5. The waiting list stopped updating yesterday
There is a milestone on the tutorial session side today too.
The waiting list position-check page is unchanged today (verbatim):
Positions are updated when staff import a new list. Recent registrations, cancellations or changes of demo may not be visible yet. The list is updated on Tuesday and Friday mornings; the final update will be on 30/10/2026.
That final update date passed yesterday (Friday, October 30). The state we described in our October 26 article — “the last two days of the event (October 31 and November 1) will not be updated” — begins today.
For anyone on the waiting list the implication is clear: checking with your Bandai ID today or tomorrow will not show a changed position. Even if cancellations move people up, that will not be reflected in the list. The page describes updates as happening “when staff import a new list,” so the imports themselves ended yesterday.
Note also that the official site itself (naruto-cardgame.com) still carries no line about the waiting list on its Lucca page. The only place the waiting list’s operation is documented is the Play-system page the official site links to. The same is true of the Closed / Sold out statuses and the re-releases; the official site’s text has not changed since before the October 28 opening.
6. Tomorrow, “Sold out” disappears from this page
Finally, what to expect tomorrow, the final day (November 1).
If the rule that has held for four days continues, the remaining four windows (collection November 1) will be overwritten as Closed tomorrow. At that point, looking at this page will no longer tell you that all 20 scheduled windows sold out.
The property we described in the October 28 article — that Closed overwrites Sold out — reaches its conclusion tomorrow. The only record that the 20 windows sold out on the day they opened will be the series of statuses we have logged daily since October 22.
7. What is still unknown
- Playmats per window and per day (unannounced even on day 4; the page says only
A limited number of Official NARUTO CARD GAME Playmats will be available each day.) - How many playmats the re-releases released (all three re-release windows are
Closed, so neither quantity nor outcome is readable) - What happens to the page after the event (whether the windows remain visible or the page closes)
- Sales of the
Arriving in 2027playmat elsewhere (routes outside Lucca include the Premium Bandai sales for the BCG Fest Tokyo dates; whether it is the same edition as Lucca is unconfirmed) - Whether the official site will ever mention the windows, re-releases or waiting list (no mention as of today)
Summary
- The four windows opened on October 24 (collection today, October 31) changed from
Sold outtoClosed. The “collection date arrives, status turnsClosed” rule holds for all 16 scheduled windows without exception - A re-release window for 17:00 on October 30 appeared, making it three consecutive days. The total is now 23 windows (19
Closed/ 4Sold out) - The only
Sold outwindows left are the four opened on October 25 (collection on the final day, November 1). Per the page’sfrom October 21 to October 25, 2026, the scheduled releases ended on October 25 - The only purchase route left is the roughly 17:00 re-release on each event day (subject to availability)
- The waiting list also stopped updating yesterday (October 30). Checking it over the remaining two days will not show a changed position
Sold outis expected to disappear from this page tomorrow. Once it does, the fact that all 20 scheduled windows sold out will no longer be readable from the page- The number of playmats per window is still unannounced on day 4. The official site itself carries no line about the windows, re-releases or the waiting list
Our record of Lucca’s tutorial sessions and merchandise is collected on the event page. We will check and log the final day (November 1) at the same hour.
