BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in Tokyo set for February 20–21 and March 6–7, 2027 — NARUTO appears at both sessions, entry is application-only, and Main Event applications run November 20–29

The BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 official site published the outline and the How to Participate page for “BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in TOKYO,” both dated September 15, 2026.

As of our London article on August 29, Tokyo was labelled only “Early 2027” — the one city without even a month. It now has dates, venues and an application schedule. This is the first concrete announcement of an official event in Japan at which the NARUTO Card Game will appear.

Dates and venues by title are as follows. The outline gives dates and venues for five of the seven titles; Battle Spirits and UNION ARENA are listed by name only.

NARUTO Card Game is the only title listed with “Dates ①” and “Dates ②,” i.e. at both sessions. February 20–21 is at TOC Exhibition Hall (Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa), the same venue and dates as Dragon Ball Fusion World; March 6–7 is at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall C, the same venue and dates as the Digimon Card Game.

2. Application-only — there is no same-day admission

The How to Participate page opens with the following (our translation):

“BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in TOKYO” will be held on a fully application-only basis. Participation requires a prior application through “BANDAI TCG+.” This year there will be no same-day admission without a prior application. If you wish to attend, be sure to apply for either the Main Event or a Side Event.

Three points to note:

• No same-day admission without a prior application (the same wording is repeated under “About same-day participation”)
• The official app BANDAI TCG+ is mandatory for applying and attending (install it on your device and apply from there)
• Face photo registration is required to apply. The page says screening and registration “may take a week or more,” and registering just before the deadline may not complete in time, so early registration is urged

We walked through the face photo registration steps and the rejected-photo patterns in our September 11 article. As with the demo lotteries in the seven Asian cities, Tokyo is designed so that you cannot even apply until your face photo is registered.

The page also notes that “the content you can take part in differs depending on your BANDAI TCG+ status,” but no text table of which status unlocks what is published (it may be shown as an image; this site does not reproduce image content).

3. Application schedule — the Main Event window is November 20–29

There are two application types, Main Event and Side Event, and Side Events take applications in two rounds: an advance round and a second round.

Those who win a Main Event seat (or a waitlist seat) may join the Side Events of the same title held on the same day without a separate application, according to the page.

Side Events (advance application)

Eligible titles are all seven, including NARUTO Card Game. As explained below, the official site gives two different windows for this round.

• Outline page: window December 25 (Fri), 2026 – January 3 (Sun), 2027, winners announced around January 15 (Fri), 2027

Side Events (second round)

Those not selected in the advance round may apply again. Eligible titles and start dates differ by session.

• February session: from January 29 (Fri), 2027. Eligible: UNION ARENA / Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World
• March session: from February 10 (Fri), 2027. Eligible: Battle Spirits / Digimon Card Game / ONE PIECE Card Game / Gundam Card Game / NARUTO Card Game

NARUTO Card Game appears only in the March second round, not the February one. Since the outline says NARUTO also appears in February (TOC Exhibition Hall), how NARUTO Side Events in February are handled cannot be read from the official text.

4. The Side Event advance window is stated two different ways on the official site

As noted above, two pages on the same official site disagree on the Side Event advance application window.

The How to Participate page gives exactly the same window as the Main Event, while the outline page has the advance round starting after the Main Event results (around December 14). The official site does not explain which is correct, and this site cannot determine it either. If you plan to apply, check both pages directly once November arrives. We will update this article as soon as a correction or addition is confirmed.

The second-round dates (February session from January 29, March session from February 10) and the Main Event details (November 20–29, results around December 14) match across both pages.

5. A “priority lottery” that raises your odds if you link your My Number Card

The My Number Card identity verification that BANDAI TCG+ said it was “considering” — covered in our August 5 article — is now explicitly stated to be in use for the Tokyo event.

Furthermore, starting this year, we will run a priority lottery using the My Number Card. (our translation)

How it works, per the “About the priority lottery using the My Number Card” section:

• Applicants who complete linking their My Number Card to the “MOALA account” connected to BANDAI TCG+ during the application window have a higher chance of winning than those who have not
• Authentication uses the Digital Agency’s “Myna App” to read the My Number Card’s IC chip; the information authenticated by the MOALA account is then linked to the BANDAI TCG+ account (the page notes that the Digital Authentication App and the Mynaportal app were merged into the “Myna App” on August 25, 2026)
• Even if you are not linked at the time you apply, you qualify for the priority lottery as long as linking is complete by the application deadline
• Bandai does not obtain or store your My Number (individual number) or the personal information attached to it
• Linking does not guarantee a win, and enquiries about the lottery method will not be answered
• Documents other than the My Number Card itself, such as the individual number notification, cannot be used for linking

The page does not say how strong the “priority” is (for example, what share of seats goes to linked applicants).

6. Visitor giveaways — six titles published, no NARUTO item listed

A visitor giveaway page was published the same day. With the conditions that “giveaways differ by venue and cannot be collected at another venue” and “quantities are limited and end once stock runs out,” it lists giveaways (with card numbers) for six titles.

No NARUTO Card Game giveaway is listed on that page (as of September 15). Although NARUTO is listed as a participating title, there is no NARUTO entry in the giveaway list, and the per-venue distribution lists (Ikebukuro, Ariake, TOC, Takadanobaba) do not name NARUTO either. Whether this means “to be decided” or “none” is not stated officially.

For reference, the other titles’ giveaways are all promo versions of existing cards (for example, the ONE PIECE Card Game’s is “P-110 Monkey D. Luffy”). The NARUTO Card Game is due in summer 2027, and its events so far have distributed event-specific versions of the “CP-001 Chakra Card.”

7. NARUTO’s programme (demo or tournament) is unannounced

The “Titles” section of the outline page shows each title’s logo with “VIEW ACTIVITIES” and “VIEW PRODUCTS” buttons, but as of September 15 both buttons are disabled for all seven titles, so nothing about NARUTO’s content — whether there is a “Teaching Session” demo, whether there is a tournament, participant gifts, merchandise — has been published yet.

In the seven Asian cities, the NARUTO pages published “Teaching Session” application details, all by lottery. Whether Tokyo follows the same format, and whether the two application routes (“events for each title” and “admission ticket”) we described in our September 13 article also exist in Tokyo, is not known at this point.

Note that Tokyo’s applications are described as “Main Event” and “Side Event,” different terminology from both the Asian cities’ “Teaching Session” / “Admission ticket” and Orlando and London’s “Regionals Finals / Last Chance Qualifier / General Entry / Side Events.” Which category NARUTO’s content falls under will have to wait for the NARUTO page.

8. Where it is published — Fest Japanese site only; not on the NARUTO official site

Status as of September 15, 2026:

• Fest official site (Japanese, /26-27/jp/tokyo/): outline, How to Participate and visitor giveaways published, dated September 15
• Fest official site (English and Traditional Chinese): /26-27/en/tokyo/ and /26-27/zh-tw/tokyo/ both return 404 (not published). However, the city list on the top page now shows “February 20-21, 2027 / March 6-7, 2027” for Tokyo in the English version too
• NARUTO Card Game official site: the Japanese news list is still dated July 29, and the English news list has no Tokyo item either (unchanged from what we found in our September 14 article)

That brings the number of Fest cities with confirmed dates to 10 of 11. The remaining one, Shanghai, still shows only “December 2026.”

9. What is still unknown

• NARUTO Card Game’s programme (whether there is a “Teaching Session” demo, a tournament, participant gifts, merchandise) — “VIEW ACTIVITIES” and “VIEW PRODUCTS” both remain disabled
• Whether there is a NARUTO visitor giveaway (none listed on the giveaway page)
• The correct Side Event advance application window (November 20–29, or December 25 – January 3)
• How NARUTO Side Events at the February session (TOC Exhibition Hall) are handled (NARUTO is not among the February second-round titles)
• The specific mapping behind “the content you can take part in differs depending on your BANDAI TCG+ status”
• How strong the “priority” from My Number Card linking is
• Whether Tokyo uses the same two application routes as the seven Asian cities (“events for each title” and “admission ticket”)
• When the announcement will appear on the NARUTO Card Game official site (Japanese and English)
