BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in Tokyo set for February 20–21 and March 6–7, 2027 — NARUTO appears at both sessions, entry is application-only, and Main Event applications run November 20–29

The BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 official site published the outline and the How to Participate page for “BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in TOKYO,” both dated September 15, 2026.

As of our London article on August 29, Tokyo was labelled only “Early 2027” — the one city without even a month. It now has dates, venues and an application schedule. This is the first concrete announcement of an official event in Japan at which the NARUTO Card Game will appear.

Main Event applications open on Friday, November 20, 2026. That is 44 days from today (October 7). Working backwards:

1. Now: register your face photo in the BANDAI TCG+ app — it is a prerequisite for applying, and the official page states that review and registration can take more than a week. Start by early November at the latest; the official page warns that registering just before a deadline may not complete in time. The steps and the 13 rejected photo types are in our face photo guide
2. By the deadline (November 29): link your My Number Card — linked applicants enter the “priority lottery” with better odds. You still qualify if you are unlinked when you apply, as long as linking completes by the deadline, so this can wait until after the face photo (see section 5 below)
3. Put November 20–29 on your calendar — winners are announced around December 14. We will post the opening and the deadline on our pre-order & lottery hub and on X (@narutoreca)
4. Once November arrives, compare both pages yourself — the Side Event advance window was stated two different ways on the official site for a long time, but it was unified to “December 25 – January 3” on October 16, 2026 (section 4). Plan around December 25 – January 3 for the advance round

Note that NARUTO’s programme — demo, tournament, participant gifts — was still unannounced as of October 7. It was published on October 16, 2026: a demo session (“体験会 in BCGFest”) at both sessions (October 16 article). Face photo registration is a prerequisite for applying, participating and receiving the visitor giveaway, so it is still worth doing first.

1. Outline — two sessions, four venues, and NARUTO listed in both February and March

Dates and venues by title are as follows. The outline gives dates and venues for five of the seven titles; Battle Spirits and UNION ARENA are listed by name only.

NARUTO Card Game is the only title listed with “Dates ①” and “Dates ②,” i.e. at both sessions. February 20–21 is at TOC Exhibition Hall (Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa), the same venue and dates as Dragon Ball Fusion World; March 6–7 is at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B・C, the same venue and dates as the Digimon Card Game.

Corrected October 16, 2026: the March 6–7 venue name changed from the originally published “Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall C” to “Exhibition Hall B・C”, and the floor in the address went from “3F” to “3F・4F” (confirmed today on both the outline page and the visitor giveaway page). There is no official note of the change. We have aligned this article to “Exhibition Hall B・C”.

2. Application-only — there is no same-day admission

The How to Participate page opens with the following (our translation):

“BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in TOKYO” will be held on a fully application-only basis. Participation requires a prior application through “BANDAI TCG+.” This year there will be no same-day admission without a prior application. If you wish to attend, be sure to apply for either the Main Event or a Side Event.

Three points to note:

• No same-day admission without a prior application (the same wording is repeated under “About same-day participation”)
• The official app BANDAI TCG+ is mandatory for applying and attending (install it on your device and apply from there)
• Face photo registration is required to apply. The page says screening and registration “may take a week or more,” and registering just before the deadline may not complete in time, so early registration is urged

We walked through the face photo registration steps and the rejected-photo patterns in our September 11 article. As with the demo lotteries in the seven Asian cities, Tokyo is designed so that you cannot even apply until your face photo is registered.

The page also notes that “the content you can take part in differs depending on your BANDAI TCG+ status,” but no text table of which status unlocks what is published (it may be shown as an image; this site does not reproduce image content).

3. Application schedule — the Main Event window is November 20–29

There are two application types, Main Event and Side Event, and Side Events take applications in two rounds: an advance round and a second round.

Those who win a Main Event seat (or a waitlist seat) may join the Side Events of the same title held on the same day without a separate application, according to the page.

Side Events (advance application)

Eligible titles are all seven, including NARUTO Card Game. As explained below, the official site gives two different windows for this round.

• How to Participate page: window November 20 (Fri) – 29 (Sun), 2026, winners announced around December 14 (Mon)
• Outline page: window December 25 (Fri), 2026 – January 3 (Sun), 2027, winners announced around January 15 (Fri), 2027

Side Events (second round)

Those not selected in the advance round may apply again. Eligible titles and start dates differ by session.

• February session: from January 29 (Fri), 2027. Eligible: UNION ARENA / Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World
• March session: from February 10 (Fri), 2027. Eligible: Battle Spirits / Digimon Card Game / ONE PIECE Card Game / Gundam Card Game / NARUTO Card Game

NARUTO Card Game appears only in the March second round, not the February one. Since the outline says NARUTO also appears in February (TOC Exhibition Hall), how NARUTO Side Events in February are handled cannot be read from the official text.

4. The Side Event advance window is stated two different ways on the official site

As noted above, two pages on the same official site disagree on the Side Event advance application window.

The How to Participate page gives exactly the same window as the Main Event, while the outline page has the advance round starting after the Main Event results (around December 14). The official site does not explain which is correct, and this site cannot determine it either. If you plan to apply, check both pages directly once November arrives. We will update this article as soon as a correction or addition is confirmed.

The second-round dates (February session from January 29, March session from February 10) and the Main Event details (November 20–29, results around December 14) match across both pages.

Re-checked October 7, 2026: we fetched the HTML of both pages today and compared the wording directly. Three weeks after publication, the two readings are both still there.

• How to Participate, under “Side Event application schedule → advance round”: window “2026年11月20日(金)～29日(日)” / results “2026年12月14日(月)頃当選発表予定”
• Outline, application period section: Side Event (advance round) “2026年12月25日(金)～2027年1月3日(日)” / “2027年1月15日(金)頃当選発表予定”

No correction note has been added, and the pages’ update history still shows the single entry “2026.09.15” (confirmed today). November 20 may well arrive with this unresolved, so if you intend to apply, plan around the Main Event window of November 20–29 — it is the one both pages agree on, and it is also the earlier of the two dates.

Resolved October 16, 2026: we re-fetched the How to Participate page today and found the advance round rewritten to “Fri Dec 25, 2026 – Sun Jan 3, 2027” with “results around Fri Jan 15, 2027”. The outline page and the NARUTO Card Game content list published the same day say the same thing — all three pages now agree. No correction notice was added, but the discrepancy is gone. Plan around December 25 – January 3 for the advance round (October 16 article).

5. A “priority lottery” that raises your odds if you link your My Number Card

The My Number Card identity verification that BANDAI TCG+ said it was “considering” — covered in our August 5 article — is now explicitly stated to be in use for the Tokyo event.

Furthermore, starting this year, we will run a priority lottery using the My Number Card. (our translation)

How it works, per the “About the priority lottery using the My Number Card” section:

• Applicants who complete linking their My Number Card to the “MOALA account” connected to BANDAI TCG+ during the application window have a higher chance of winning than those who have not
• Authentication uses the Digital Agency’s “Myna App” to read the My Number Card’s IC chip; the information authenticated by the MOALA account is then linked to the BANDAI TCG+ account (the page notes that the Digital Authentication App and the Mynaportal app were merged into the “Myna App” on August 25, 2026)
• Even if you are not linked at the time you apply, you qualify for the priority lottery as long as linking is complete by the application deadline
• Bandai does not obtain or store your My Number (individual number) or the personal information attached to it
• Linking does not guarantee a win, and enquiries about the lottery method will not be answered
• Documents other than the My Number Card itself, such as the individual number notification, cannot be used for linking

The page does not say how strong the “priority” is (for example, what share of seats goes to linked applicants).

6. Visitor giveaways — six titles published, no NARUTO item listed

A visitor giveaway page was published the same day. With the conditions that “giveaways differ by venue and cannot be collected at another venue” and “quantities are limited and end once stock runs out,” it lists giveaways (with card numbers) for six titles.

No NARUTO Card Game giveaway is listed on that page (as of September 15). Although NARUTO is listed as a participating title, there is no NARUTO entry in the giveaway list, and the per-venue distribution lists (Ikebukuro, Ariake, TOC, Takadanobaba) do not name NARUTO either. Whether this means “to be decided” or “none” is not stated officially.

For reference, the other titles’ giveaways are all promo versions of existing cards (for example, the ONE PIECE Card Game’s is “P-110 Monkey D. Luffy”). The NARUTO Card Game is due in summer 2027, and its events so far have distributed event-specific versions of the “CP-001 Chakra Card.”

Re-checked October 7, 2026: we fetched the giveaway page again today. It still lists six titles, and there is still no NARUTO entry. All six listed items are promo cards with card numbers, each with its distribution venue spelled out.

So NARUTO is confirmed at two sessions and two venues, yet its giveaway slot is the only empty one. A pre-release title having no existing promo card to reprint is a plausible reason, but with nothing stated officially, “undecided” and “none” cannot be told apart.

Re-checked October 16, 2026: even today, with NARUTO’s programme and merchandise published, the visitor giveaway page is still dated “2026.09.15” and still lists six titles with no NARUTO entry (only the venue heading changed, to “Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B・C”). Meanwhile the NARUTO page published the same day says face photo registration is required “to apply, to participate and to receive the visitor giveaway”, and the FAQ says “the visitor giveaway is handed over on admission.” Whether NARUTO has a giveaway still cannot be determined from the official wording.

7. NARUTO’s programme (demo or tournament) — unannounced at first, published October 16

The “Titles” section of the outline page shows each title’s logo with “VIEW ACTIVITIES” and “VIEW PRODUCTS” buttons, but as of September 15 both buttons are disabled for all seven titles, so nothing about NARUTO’s content — whether there is a “Teaching Session” demo, whether there is a tournament, participant gifts, merchandise — has been published yet.

Re-checked October 7, 2026: we fetched the page’s HTML today. All seven titles, NARUTO included, still carry the disable class on both buttons, and both still link to javascript:void(0); — they cannot be clicked. Three weeks on, not a single word of NARUTO’s programme has been published. With 44 days to go before applications open, you still cannot find out what you would be applying for.

In the seven Asian cities, the NARUTO pages published “Teaching Session” application details, all by lottery. Whether Tokyo follows the same format, and whether the two application routes (“events for each title” and “admission ticket”) we described in our September 13 article also exist in Tokyo, is not known at this point.

Note that Tokyo’s applications are described as “Main Event” and “Side Event,” different terminology from both the Asian cities’ “Teaching Session” / “Admission ticket” and Orlando and London’s “Regionals Finals / Last Chance Qualifier / General Entry / Side Events.”

Published October 16, 2026: the NARUTO page — “NARUTO Card Game content list” — is now live, and NARUTO’s content sits in the “Main Event” category as a demo session (“体験会 in BCGFest”) at both sessions (February 20–21 at TOC Exhibition Hall / March 6–7 at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B・C). There is no mention of a tournament. Reception times, capacity and the demo session application page are “to be announced later.” The Tokyo merchandise page is live too: three NARUTO items (Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027- ¥3,850 tax incl. / Official Playmat -NARUTO vs. SASUKE- ¥3,850 tax incl. / Premium Card Collection vol.00 -Chakra Set- ¥1,650 tax incl.), sold on Premium Bandai only with no on-site sale, and the FAQ states that taking part in the merchandise sale without attending the event is possible. Details are in our October 16 article.

8. Where it is published — Fest Japanese site only; not on the NARUTO official site

Status as of September 15, 2026:

• Fest official site (Japanese, /26-27/jp/tokyo/): outline, How to Participate and visitor giveaways published, dated September 15
• Fest official site (English and Traditional Chinese): /26-27/en/tokyo/ and /26-27/zh-tw/tokyo/ both return 404 (not published). However, the city list on the top page now shows “February 20-21, 2027 / March 6-7, 2027” for Tokyo in the English version too
• NARUTO Card Game official site: the Japanese news list is still dated July 29, and the English news list has no Tokyo item either (unchanged from what we found in our September 14 article)

Updated October 16, 2026: the Japanese NARUTO Card Game official site now carries a Tokyo stop page (/jp/news/bcgfes26-27-tokyo.php, dated 2026.10.16) — the July 29 entry for “BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27” was replaced with the “in TOKYO” version. The same path under the English (/en/), English(Asia) and Traditional Chinese versions returns 404, and the Fest site’s /26-27/en/tokyo/ and /26-27/zh-tw/tokyo/ are still 404 (checked today).

That brings the number of Fest cities with confirmed dates to 10 of 11. The remaining one, Shanghai, still shows only “December 2026.”

9. What is still unknown

• NARUTO Card Game’s programme (whether there is a “Teaching Session” demo, a tournament, participant gifts, merchandise) — “VIEW ACTIVITIES” and “VIEW PRODUCTS” both remain disabled
• Whether there is a NARUTO visitor giveaway (none listed on the giveaway page)
• The correct Side Event advance application window (November 20–29, or December 25 – January 3)
• How NARUTO Side Events at the February session (TOC Exhibition Hall) are handled (NARUTO is not among the February second-round titles)
• The specific mapping behind “the content you can take part in differs depending on your BANDAI TCG+ status”
• How strong the “priority” from My Number Card linking is
• Whether Tokyo uses the same two application routes as the seven Asian cities (“events for each title” and “admission ticket”)
• When the announcement will appear on the NARUTO Card Game official site (Japanese and English)

Updated October 16, 2026: three of those eight items are now filled in — NARUTO’s programme (including merchandise), the correct Side Event advance window, and the posting on the NARUTO Card Game official site (October 16 article). Still unannounced as of today: NARUTO’s visitor giveaway, how February’s Side Event is handled, what “content varies by BANDAI TCG+ status” maps to, how much the My Number Card “priority” is worth, and whether applications split into two routes. New unknowns have appeared in their place: the demo session’s reception times, capacity and application page URL, the purchase limit per person for each product, and which products are sold by lottery.

Re-checked October 7, 2026: not one of those eight items has been filled in. The Tokyo pages’ update history still shows the single entry “2026.09.15” — three weeks with no movement (confirmed today). With 44 days to go, what is known is the dates, the venues, the application windows, and the face photo and My Number Card procedures — that is, you can find out when, where and how to apply, but not what you are applying for.

We have added the Tokyo stop to our event calendar and listed the application schedule as “planned” on our pre-order and lottery hub. We will report again as soon as the NARUTO page is published or the advance window is corrected.
