The NARUTO "Teaching Session" at BCG Fest is a lottery — seven cities' application windows, and why you never learn the result more than 30 days before the event

Among the BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 city pages, the NARUTO Card Game pages have filled in the section that previously read “Details will be updated in the future.” Hong Kong and Bangkok were newly published on August 28.

Checking these alongside the London announcement revealed how to take part and what you get — both previously unannounced.

[Updated September 14, 2026] The “scheduled to open” note is never removed — how to read the status correctly

We re-checked all seven Asian NARUTO pages on September 14. Dates, winner announcement dates, gifts and requirements are unchanged. But one thing is now clear about the note we have been treating as a caveat — “Registration is scheduled to open on …”.

That note is never rewritten, whether the window has opened or closed.

Jakarta is the clearest example. Its window ran August 10 – August 24 and has closed, and its winner announcement date (September 10) has passed. Even so, the page on September 14 still reads “*Registration is scheduled to open on August 10.”, with the application link (series/8080) still in place.

In other words, neither the note nor the presence of an application link tells you whether you can apply right now.

The seven cities as of September 14, 2026

Manila is the only city without the note (its page was last updated Aug. 21, 2026). But Manila closed on September 3, so “no note” does not mean “open” either.

So what should you go by?

Lining up all seven cities, only two things tell you whether you can apply:

1. The application window dates printed on the official page — the most reliable signal. We track these in the table above and in the pre-order and lottery hub
2. Whether the application link is a real URL — in cities that have not opened yet (Kuala Lumpur, Taipei), “Click here for registration” / 報名連結 is plain text, not a link. It switches to a real URL once the window opens (as Bangkok and Singapore did on September 12)

The date in the note is a record of when the window was scheduled to open, not a statement about the present.

Kuala Lumpur is next — four days to September 18

The next city to open is Kuala Lumpur (scheduled for September 18), four days out. Given the warning that face photo verification can take a week or more, starting registration now may not get you verified by September 18. Kuala Lumpur’s window runs 38 days to October 25, though, so missing the opening day still leaves plenty of time before the deadline.

The same goes for Taipei (opens September 25, closes November 3) — there is no need to rush for the opening day. What is actually urgent is Hong Kong, which closes soonest on September 27. Subtracting the verification period, the deadline to start face photo registration for Hong Kong is around September 20.

The only capacity field remains Singapore’s “Capacity 192”; the September 14 sweep found no capacity field on the other six pages.

[Updated September 12, 2026] Bangkok and Singapore are open — and Singapore alone published a capacity of 192

We re-checked Bangkok and Singapore on September 12, the day after their scheduled opening date of September 11. Both have switched to working application links, and registration is under way.

Both pages also changed their update stamp to “2026.09.11 / Sep. 11, 2026” (previously August 28 for both). Three cities are now open at the same time: Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore.

A capacity was published for the first time — but only for one city

On top of that, the Singapore page alone gained a “Capacity 192” field. Checking all seven Asian city pages on September 12, Singapore is the only one with a capacity field.

The “What we still don’t know” list below treated capacity as unannounced across all seven cities as of September 9; that is now resolved for Singapore only. The one comparable figure is Gen Con 2026’s max 60 per session across 2 sessions = 120, and Singapore’s 192 carries no unit — whether it covers the whole event, one day or one session is not stated.

The full before-and-after is in our September 12 article. The three open cities close on September 27 (Hong Kong), October 4 (Bangkok) and October 12 (Singapore), and the target dates to begin face photo registration are September 20, September 27 and October 5 respectively.

Note that Kuala Lumpur (opening September 18) and Taipei (opening September 25) still have no application URL as of September 12.

[Updated September 9, 2026] Counting backwards from the event — you never learn the result more than 30 days out

Seven cities now have published requirements. With that many, patterns emerge that a plain list of dates hides. We re-sorted every date by counting backwards from the event’s opening day.

Everything below was checked directly on each city’s NARUTO page (Fest official site) on September 9, 2026.

The seven cities

Venue addresses and per-city caveats are on the linked city pages. The participant gift is a “CP-001 Chakra Card” in all seven, and face photo registration in the BANDAI TCG+ app is required everywhere.

Finding 1: winners are announced exactly 30 days before the event in five cities

Converted to day counts, a clear shape appears.

Five of the seven cities land on exactly 30 days between the winner announcement and the event. Only Manila (37) and Hong Kong (44) differ.

One caveat matters here: the official pages write the date as “September 10, 2026 -” — from that date. So 30 days is the interval if the announcement lands on the earliest possible day; your own result may come later. Read it as “you cannot find out earlier than a month before” rather than “you will know a month before.”

If your trip involves travel, that means the earliest you can book flights and a hotel on a confirmed seat is about a month out.

Finding 2: windows run 14 to 40 days — and get longer the later the city

The length of the application window itself varies a lot.

The shortest (Manila, 14 days) and the longest (Taipei, 40 days) differ by nearly 3×. Lined up this way, the later the event, the longer the window — with only Bangkok and Hong Kong swapped relative to event order.

Whether this is a deliberate change of practice or simply how it worked out is not explained anywhere official. The practical point stands on its own: the earlier cities give you less time to apply. Given that face photo verification can take a week or more, a two-week window leaves little room — starting your registration after you hear the window has opened may already be too late.

Right now: Bangkok and Singapore both open on September 11

As of September 9, 2026 the only city open is Hong Kong (closes September 27). Two days from now, on September 11, Bangkok and Singapore open simultaneously.

Kuala Lumpur follows on September 18 and Taipei on September 25, making September a month in which some city opens every week. From September 11, up to five cities are open at once counting Hong Kong.

Note that on the September 9 recheck, Bangkok’s “Click here for registration” is still plain text rather than a link, and Singapore’s registration link still points to bandai-tcg-plus.com/series/8080 — the same URL as the already-closed Jakarta window. Both pages carry the note “Registration is scheduled to open on September 11,” so they may be swapped before then, but treating either link as usable today would be a mistake. The details are in the September 3 update below, and nothing has changed since.

[Updated September 3, 2026] Where you can actually apply right now

We rechecked all five NARUTO pages on September 3. Dates, winner announcement dates, gifts and application requirements are unchanged — only the status has moved on.

Today, September 3, is Manila’s final day. Given the page’s warning that face photo verification can take a week or more, starting the process now is unlikely to make the deadline; realistically the remaining hours are for people whose accounts already show “Face Photo Verified.”

From September 4 through September 10, Hong Kong is the only city you can apply to. Its window runs to September 27 — roughly four weeks, so starting face photo registration now should comfortably make it.

Then on September 11, Bangkok and Singapore are scheduled to open on the same day. Working backwards from verification taking a week or more, if you want to be ready for that opening, today is about the last comfortable day to start registering. From September 11 three cities are open at once including Hong Kong, until Hong Kong closes on September 27.

Two things to watch on the registration links (unchanged as of September 3)

We checked the actual href behind each page’s “Click here for registration” (Traditional Chinese wording on Hong Kong’s page). Two cities are in an unusual state, and rechecking on September 3 found both unchanged from the day before.

• Singapore — the link goes to https://www.bandai-tcg-plus.com/series/8080, the same URL as Jakarta’s, whose window has already closed. The page is annotated “Registration is scheduled to open on September 11,” so it may well be swapped before then, but it would be risky to read this link as the Singapore application page today
• Bangkok — “Click here for registration” is not a link at all; it sits there as plain text. The same “scheduled to open on September 11” note applies

Note that the BANDAI TCG+ pages behind those links are rendered with JavaScript, so we have not been able to check what they contain. We are not asserting whether Singapore’s URL is a mistake or a page shared across cities. Either way, the safe move is to re-check the page when applications open on September 11.

1. It’s a “Teaching Session,” not a “Tutorial Session”

First, the naming. The Fest’s NARUTO pages use “Teaching Session.”

• Gen Con 2026, NYCC 2026, PAX Aus 2026 → Tutorial Session (NARUTO Card Game official site)
• BCG Fest (four Asian cities) → Teaching Session (Fest official site)
• BCG Fest (Orlando, London) → Tutorial Session (Fest official site)

Even within the same Fest, the wording differs by city. No official explanation says whether these are different formats or just inconsistent naming. We use each page’s own wording below.

2. Application windows, winner dates and gifts across four cities

Here is what each city’s NARUTO page lists.

As of August 29, only Manila is accepting applications, closing September 3. Jakarta closed on August 24. Hong Kong (from September 1) and Bangkok (from September 11) have yet to open.

3. A lottery, not first-come — confirmed via the Chinese version

The English pages label the field “Winner announcement,” which on its own could be read as announcing a tournament’s winners. But the Traditional Chinese version (Hong Kong) labels the same field 抽籤結果公布.

抽籤 means a lottery draw, so comparing the language versions settles it: this field announces lottery results. The Teaching Session is allocated by lottery, not first-come — you apply during the window and must be drawn.

The other fields line up cleanly too.

The Chinese wording for the gift — 紀念品, a commemorative item — also supports reading CP-001 as something handed to participants rather than a competitive prize.

That makes this a third participation format, distinct from Gen Con 2026’s ticket sales that sold out and the on-site registration used at NYCC and PAX Aus.

4. Face photo registration in BANDAI TCG+ is mandatory

Applications go through BANDAI TCG+, Bandai’s official card game app, via a link on each city’s page. Manila’s page lists this requirement up front:

Registration of a face photo in the BANDAI TCG+ app is required to apply for and participate in the event.

It also states:

• If your profile doesn’t show “Face Photo Verified” during the application period, you cannot apply at all
• Verification may take a week or longer, so register well in advance
• Minors cannot register a face photo, but are still eligible — apply using your own account

In other words, deciding at the last minute may not work. If you’re aiming for Hong Kong (Sep 1 – Sep 27) or Bangkok (Sep 11 – Oct 4), get the face photo registered before the window opens.

5. CP-001 now has a third distribution context

The listed gift, “CP-001 Chakra Card,” is a card number we’ve seen before. The known distribution contexts are:

• Gen Con 2026 (July 30 – August 2, 2026) — tutorial session gift, versioned “-Gen Con 2026 Ver.-”
• NYCC 2026 / PAX Aus 2026 (October 2026) — tutorial session gift, no version name given
• BCG Fest, four Asian cities (October–November 2026) — gift for Teaching Session winners, no version name ← newly confirmed

A separate printing under the same number, New York Yankees Ver., has also been announced. Whether the Fest copies use the Gen Con artwork or a different one is not stated officially.

6. One caveat — the section headings don’t match across cities

Comparing the four pages, the section headings are inconsistent.

On Manila and Bangkok, the category near the top reads “Pre-Registered Event” while the heading below it reads “On-Site Registration Side Event.” The fields under that heading are identical across all four cities, though — application window, winner announcement date, and a BANDAI TCG+ application link.

The content reads as advance application by lottery, but since the official page contradicts itself, we won’t declare which label is correct. If you’re planning to attend Manila or Bangkok, check the current wording on the BANDAI TCG+ event page before applying.

7. Singapore, Orlando and London are still unannounced

Of the seven cities with published detail pages, only these four have application details on their NARUTO pages.

• Singapore (Dec 5–6, 2026) — “NARUTO CARD GAME” appears in the title list, but no individual NARUTO page has been published
• Orlando (Jan 7–10, 2027) and London (Jan 15–17, 2027) — NARUTO pages exist, but still read “Details will be updated in the future.”

The four Asian cities filled in first, with the two Western cities lagging. Whether that’s just publication order or an actual difference in content is unknown.

[Correction, added August 30, 2026] The Singapore line above was wrong. Re-checking on August 30, the individual NARUTO page for Singapore is published (the Fest site’s own update stamp reads “Aug. 28, 2026”), listing applications from September 11 to October 12, 2026, winners announced from November 5, and a CP-001 Chakra Card as the gift. That brings the number of cities with published application details to five. Full details are in the Singapore article (Aug 30). Orlando and London still read “Details will be updated in the future.” as of August 30.

[Added September 6, 2026] The NARUTO pages for Kuala Lumpur (Dec 12–13, IOI City Mall) and Taipei (Dec 19–20, World Trade Center) were also published on September 4 with their application details, bringing the total to seven cities. Details are in the Kuala Lumpur / Taipei article (Sep 6). Orlando and London still read “Details will be updated in the future.” as of September 9, 2026.

8. What we still don’t know

• The day (which of the event days), times and fee for each city’s Teaching Session
• Capacity for the other six cities (only Singapore shows “Capacity 192”, and even that carries no unit — event total, per day or per session)
• How oversubscribed it is, and whether unsuccessful applicants can attend on the day
• Whether the CP-001 handed out is the Gen Con artwork or a different printing
• Application conditions and gifts for Orlando and London (Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei have since surfaced — see the notes above)
• The correct participation format where Manila and Bangkok’s headings contradict each other
• The date results are actually delivered, since the pages only say “from” a given day
• Why the application windows differ so much in length, from 14 to 40 days
• Whether a Teaching Session will run at the Tokyo stop (dates and venue still unannounced)

Summary (as of September 14, 2026)

• BCG Fest 26-27’s NARUTO pages list Teaching Session application details for seven Asian cities — Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei
• The Traditional Chinese label 抽籤結果公布 confirms this is a lottery, not first-come
• The gift is a CP-001 Chakra Card in all seven cities; whether it matches the Gen Con artwork is unannounced
• Face photo registration in BANDAI TCG+ (“Face Photo Verified”) is required to apply, and verification can take a week or more

• The only capacity published is Singapore’s “192” (unchanged in the September 14 sweep). The other six cities’ capacities, and the unit behind 192, remain unannounced
