The CP-001 Chakra Card Has 14 Confirmed Give-Away Occasions — Only 2 Carry a Version Name, and None Are in Japan

Updated September 19, 2026: the official pages were rewritten and the “5 on-site sign-up” category has split. PAX Aus now takes advance, first-come registration on TCG+ from September 20, 11:00 AEST; NYCC hands out tutorial tickets first come, first served each morning at Booth #3001; and the three European pages say the participation method will be announced later. The table and section 2 have been updated (details in our September 19 article).

Updated September 13, 2026: statuses have been brought up to September 13 (three cities are open — Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore — and Yankee Stadium has taken place). Section 1 also now records that all seven BCG Fest Pre-Registration pages state the event is open only to lottery winners, with no same-day registration or entry (details in You Cannot Just Walk Up to a BCG Fest NARUTO Teaching Session).

Updated September 5, 2026: the English official site published pages for SPIEL Essen, Paris Games Week and Lucca Comics & Games on September 4, and all three list a “CP-001 Chakra Card” as the tutorial session gift. The count was updated from nine occasions to twelve (details in Details Published for Three European Events).

Looking at our own analytics, CP-001 Chakra Card keeps appearing among the card database pages that receive the most search traffic. That is striking for a card whose image and effect text have never been published — which tells you what people are actually searching for: where and how do I get one?

So this article gathers every CP-001 give-away occasion confirmable in official primary sources and lays them out in date order. The short version: fourteen occasions, only two with a version name, and zero in Japan.

Scope of this article: everything below comes from the NARUTO Card Game English official site, the BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 official site and the New York Yankees official site, re-checked September 13, 2026. The card image and effect text are unpublished for all fourteen occasions, and Yankee Stadium is the only one with an officially stated quantity. Plans may change.

What CP-001 actually is

It is a different card number from the sample Chakra Card, C-001, shown at the July 29, 2026 reveal.

• C-001 — the ordinary Chakra Card. A resource card, five of which are used alongside the deck; the card face reads “When using chakra, turn this card face down” (see our complete guide to Chakra Cards)
• CP-001 — the number with a P (apparently for “promotional”) attached. Event-exclusive; no retail product has been announced as containing it

And CP-001 is being operated as a single card number that carries venue-specific variants. The Gen Con 2026 gift is “CP-001 Chakra Card -Gen Con 2026 Ver.-”; the one handed out at Yankee Stadium is “CP-001 Chakra Card -New York Yankees™ Ver.-”. Same card number, different version name.

All fourteen occasions

In date order. Where the version column says “none listed,” the official page says only “CP-001 Chakra Card” — meaning it is unannounced whether the artwork matches the Gen Con version or not.

Three in the USA, one in Australia, three in Europe, five in Southeast Asia, one in Hong Kong, one in Taiwan — twelve countries and regions in total. Kuala Lumpur and Taipei are the two we confirmed on September 6 as carrying application details dated September 4, 2026.

Of the fourteen, physical copies have actually changed hands at two — Gen Con 2026 and Yankee Stadium; the other twelve are still ahead. The next handout is New York Comic Con 2026, opening October 8 (morning ticket handouts).

Four different ways to get one

Same CP-001, but the route to receiving it is completely different in each case.

1. Lottery (seven BCG Fest cities)

These go to those drawn for the NARUTO Card Game “Teaching Session” demo held at each BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 stop. It is not a product sales lottery — it is a lottery for a seat at the demo (see our detailed write-up).

Applying requires face photo registration in the BANDAI TCG+ app, and your profile must read “Face Photo Verified” during the application window. The official pages warn that verification can take a week or longer, so registering close to a deadline will not work. There is also a note that minors cannot register a face photo but remain eligible to participate, and should apply using their own account.

As of September 13, 2026 three cities are open — Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore. Jakarta closed on August 24 and Manila on September 3 (both local time); Kuala Lumpur opens September 18 and Taipei September 25.

None of these seven leaves any room for signing up on the day. Every one of the seven BCG Fest cities’ Pre-Registration pages states that “this event is open only to participants who have been selected through the lottery. Same-day registration or entry will not be available.” Reception may ask for ID on the day, and if it does not match your BANDAI TCG+ account you forfeit both participation and the right to buy prizes and goods; participation rights are non-transferable and proxies are prohibited (details in You Cannot Just Walk Up to a BCG Fest NARUTO Teaching Session).

Note too that a capacity is published for exactly one city — Singapore’s “Capacity 192”; the other six list none (confirmed September 12, 2026).

2. NYCC 2026, PAX Aus 2026 and the three European events (updated September 19: now three different methods)

These five are not lotteries. Until September 18 every one of the English official pages stated “Registration for the Tutorial Sessions is planned to take place on-site on the day of the event,” but as of September 19 they split three ways (details).

• PAX Aus 2026: advance, first-come registration on BANDAI TCG+ from September 20 at 11:00 AEST (10:00 JST); one event per person
• NYCC 2026: tutorial session tickets handed out first come, first served each morning at the Bandai Namco Naruto Booth #3001 (sessions run at BANDAI CARD GAMES Booth #2705)
• The three European events: rewritten to “the participation method will be announced at a later date” — back to undecided

Participation is free at all five.

Receiving the gift does come with conditions, though:

• Registration for the “NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL” on BANDAI TCG+
• Completing a survey after the session
• One set of participation prizes per person, regardless of how many sessions you attend
• Only one tutorial session per person across the whole convention (stated on all five pages)

What you receive differs. NYCC and PAX Aus list two items, the CP-001 Chakra Card and a Logo Sticker, but the three European pages published September 4 list CP-001 alone as the participant gift (SPIEL Essen and Paris Games Week do carry a separate “Giveaways” section offering a logo sticker for a social follow or TCG+ registration; Lucca has no such section).

Venues: NYCC at the Javits Center (booth #2705); PAX Aus at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC); SPIEL Essen at Messe Essen (Germany); Paris Games Week at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (France); Lucca at Piazza Santa Maria (Italy). Only NYCC lists a booth number, and session times are unannounced for all five.

3. Advance ticket (Gen Con 2026, concluded)

Gen Con 2026, the world’s first demo, ran on advance ticket registration through the Gen Con website. Its haul was the largest of the fourteen: CP-001 Chakra Card -Gen Con 2026 Ver.- plus a special backpack, a logo sticker, and a same-day purchase voucher for the official playmat — four items, against the two (card and sticker) at NYCC and PAX Aus and the one card at the three European events. TCG+ channel registration and a survey were required here too.

The tickets sold out before the convention.

4. First-come (Yankee Stadium)

“NARUTO x YANKEES GAME NIGHT,” held on September 8 at Yankee Stadium, was the only one of the fourteen with an officially stated quantity.

The New York Yankees official site’s “Promotional Schedule” lists “NARUTO Night – NARUTO Yankee Stadium Exclusive Card Giveaway,” “Tuesday, September 8,” “1st 40,000 Guests,” “Presented by Bandai” (confirmed September 6, 2026). The distribution guidelines on the same page make it guests in attendance only, while supplies last, one item per valid same-day ticket, received in the distribution area upon entry (details in our Yankee Stadium article).

That quantity, however, appears only on the ball club’s page. The NARUTO Card Game English official site still just says a Chakra Card bearing the Yankees logo will be handed out and defers to the New York Yankees website for details — unchanged from August 7.

The game was played as scheduled — New York Yankees vs Colorado Rockies, first pitch 7:05pm ET on September 8 — and MLB’s official attendance was 46,211. Against a cap of the first 40,000 guests, that is 6,211 more people in the building than the giveaway covered (details here). How many cards were actually handed out is unannounced.

How to read the fact that only two versions are named

This is the point most worth pinning down.

Only two occasions have an officially printed version name:

• CP-001 Chakra Card -Gen Con 2026 Ver.-
• CP-001 Chakra Card -New York Yankees™ Ver.-

The remaining twelve — NYCC, PAX Aus, the seven BCG Fest cities, and the three European events — say nothing beyond “CP-001 Chakra Card” on any page. The Traditional Chinese Hong Kong page renders it “CP-001 查克拉卡” and files it under 紀念品 (“commemorative item”). The three European pages published on September 4 carry no version name either.

So what is actually known stops at “a Chakra Card numbered CP-001 will be handed out.” Whether those twelve share the Gen Con artwork, use separate versions each, or use an unnamed common design has not been announced at all. The absence of a version name cannot be read as evidence either way.

Not one occasion in Japan yet

Scan the locations and Japan does not appear once.

BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 runs in 11 cities worldwide, Tokyo among them. But the Fest’s official site lists Tokyo as “Early 2027” only — no dates, no venue, and no city detail page (nine cities have one; Shanghai is likewise unpublished). Naturally, the NARUTO Card Game programming and its gifts are unannounced as well.

As for SPIEL Essen and Paris Games Week in October and Lucca Comics & Games from late October, dedicated pages were published on the English official site on September 4, 2026, confirming a CP-001 Chakra Card as the tutorial session gift at all three (details here). Note, however, that those three pages exist only in English (/en/) — the same URLs on the Japanese and Asian sites return 404, and the Japanese official site’s news feed has not been updated since July 29, 2026.

Summary — what is known as of September 13, 2026

• Official primary sources confirm fourteen CP-001 give-away occasions across twelve countries and regions. Two have actually happened (Gen Con 2026 and Yankee Stadium); twelve are still ahead
• The route splits four ways: 7 lottery, 5 on-site sign-up, 1 advance ticket (closed), 1 first-come (closed)
• Only two carry a version name. Whether the other twelve share the same artwork is unannounced
• Three applications are open right now: Hong Kong (to September 27), Bangkok (October 4) and Singapore (October 12); Kuala Lumpur opens September 18 and Taipei September 25
• The seven lottery occasions have no same-day route — all seven Pre-Registration pages say winners only, with no same-day registration or entry
• Zero occasions in Japan. Tokyo reads “Early 2027” and nothing more

And to repeat: the card image and effect text are unpublished for every one of the fourteen. The only officially stated quantity belongs to Yankee Stadium (the first 40,000 guests); the other thirteen give no number. The next time a physical copy reaches anyone is New York Comic Con 2026, opening October 8.
