[Breaking] "NARUTO: What's Next?" will be livestreamed worldwide on the official YouTube channel — 6:00 AM JST, Sunday October 11, and a Japanese-language official source names the NARUTO Card Game reveal for the first time

On September 29, 2026 the NARUTO official site (naruto-official.com) announced that the New York Comic Con 2026 stage “NARUTO: What’s Next?” will be livestreamed worldwide.

In our August 20 article we reported that this panel is the only card game reveal slot with a confirmed date and time. One of the things we listed there as unannounced was whether it would be streamed or archived.

Half of that is now settled: it will be streamed. You can watch the moment of the announcement from anywhere, without travelling to the venue.

What this article is based on: everything below was checked directly on September 30, 2026 on the Japanese and English versions of the NARUTO official site’s announcement page and on the stream page it links to. No secondary reports, social-media hearsay or leaks are included.

1. What the official announcement says

The announcement is headlined “A worldwide first look at a brand-new NARUTO anime at New York Comic Con 2026,” and gives the following stage details.

ItemAs written
Date/time (local)Saturday, October 10, 2026, 5:00–6:00 PM
Date/time (JST)Sunday, October 11, 2026, 6:00–7:00 AM
VenueJacob K. Javits Convention Center, Empire Stage
GuestsJunko Takeuchi (Naruto Uzumaki) / Noriaki Sugiyama (Sasuke Uchiha) / Tominaga, 富永禎彦 (executive producer, PIERROT FILMS, Studio Pierrot), and more

Two items are listed for the stage:

“Worldwide first look” information regarding a completely new anime

“The latest information on the NARUTO CARD GAME,” scheduled for release in 2027

And the stream is stated explicitly:

From 6:00 AM JST on Sunday, October 11, the stage will be livestreamed worldwide on the NARUTO / BORUTO official YouTube channel

The stream page linked from the announcement is titled “[NARUTO: What’s Next?] New York Comic Con LIVESTREAM,” and its scheduled start matches: 5:00 PM EDT on October 10 / 6:00 AM JST on October 11.

2. Three things this fills in

(1) The stream is confirmed

As of August 20, the panel entry on the NYCC official schedule carried no streaming link, so it was not clear whether the stage would be streamed at all. That is now settled as a worldwide simultaneous livestream.

However, nothing official says whether an archive (replay) will be available. Given that the slot falls at 6:00 AM on a Sunday in Japan, that remains an open question until the stream actually ends.

(2) A Japanese-language official source names the card game slot for the first time

This is the biggest change from our point of view.

As far as we have been able to verify, the only sources stating that this stage would carry the latest card game information were in English. These are the three we have confirmed and recorded with dates:

DateSourceLanguage
August 20, 2026The panel page on the NYCC official scheduleEnglish
September 29, 2026The NYCC page on the English card game official site (Panels block)English
September 29, 2026The announcement on the NARUTO official siteJapanese and English

In our September 14 article we checked all four language versions of the card game official site and found that the news they carry differs entirely, with the Japanese list frozen at July 29, 2026. That has not changed today (see below).

So this announcement is a case of the franchise’s own official site, rather than the card game site, telling Japanese-speaking readers about the reveal slot. For anyone waiting on card game news in Japanese, that is one more primary source to point at.

(3) A production-side producer joins the guest list

As of August 20, the guests listed on the NYCC official schedule were the two voice actors, Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama. This announcement adds an executive producer at Studio Pierrot’s PIERROT FILMS, 富永禎彦 — the English version of the official announcement gives the surname “Tominaga” only, with no romanized given name — and then says “and more.”

Note that nothing has been announced about whether anyone from the card game side will appear on stage, and who “and more” refers to is likewise unstated.

3. Start time by region

The slot lands at 6:00 AM on a Sunday in Japan. For the regions our readers are in:

RegionLocal start time
New York (EDT)Saturday, October 10, 5:00 PM
Japan (JST)Sunday, October 11, 6:00 AM
Taiwan / Hong KongSunday, October 11, 5:00 AM
Singapore / MalaysiaSunday, October 11, 5:00 AM
Melbourne (AEDT)Sunday, October 11, 8:00 AM

The official announcement states only the local time and JST. The other rows are converted from the official local time (EDT).

4. What has not changed (confirmed September 30, 2026)

We re-checked the card game official site (naruto-cardgame.com) the same day. There is no mention of the stream anywhere on it.

  • The Panels block on the English NYCC 2026 event page gives only the date (Saturday, October 10, 2026), the room (North-Level 5: Empire Stage) and the description — no start time and no stream. The posting date still reads “August 07, 2026”
  • The Japanese version (/jp/) has no NYCC event page at all (404), and its news list has not moved from the two items dated 2026.07.29
  • There are no new items in the card game official site’s news lists

That means to confirm in Japanese that the stage streams at 6:00 AM JST on October 11, you have to look at the franchise site rather than the card game site. As with the five pages that were rewritten without changing their dates on September 19, watching the card game site’s news list alone still does not surface its changes.

5. Still unannounced

  • What the card game information will actually be. Products, the card list, release-date specifics and new cards are all unannounced; the wording is only “the latest information”
  • Whether an archive (replay) will be available
  • Whether anyone from the card game side will be on stage, and who the “and more” guests are
  • How to reserve the panel on site, and when reservations open. The NYCC official schedule only carries a “Reservation Needed” tag with no procedure
  • What the door giveaway is
  • When the card game official site and its social accounts will carry this in Japanese

Summary

  • On September 29, 2026 the NARUTO official site announced that the NYCC stage “NARUTO: What’s Next?” will be livestreamed worldwide on the NARUTO / BORUTO official YouTube channel, 6:00–7:00 AM JST on Sunday, October 11
  • Two items are on the agenda: a “worldwide first look” at a completely new anime and “the latest information on the NARUTO CARD GAME,” due in 2027
  • As far as we have been able to verify, this is the first time a Japanese-language official source has named the card game slot. The guest list adds Tominaga (富永禎彦), executive producer at Studio Pierrot’s PIERROT FILMS
  • The card game official site says nothing about the stream, and both the availability of an archive and the content of the announcement remain unannounced

The full October calendar is in our October 2026 schedule, and how the panel slot came to light is covered in the August 20 article. For the booth and tutorial sessions at NYCC, see the September 19 article. Everything confirmed so far is on the timeline, and the revealed cards are in the card database.
