The Only NARUTO Card Game Item With a Published Price Is Still the Official Playmat — The Five Venues Selling It at US$35, and Why Gen Con Worked Differently

Updated September 19, 2026 (important): this article’s conclusion that the mat is “sold at the booth at five venues on identical terms” no longer holds after the official pages were rewritten. PAX Aus 2026 now uses a daily raffle among tutorial participants for the right to buy (no tutorial, no playmat), NYCC 2026 a retail ticket handed out first come, first served each morning at Booth #2705, and the three European pages now say the purchase method will be announced later. The price (MSRP $35 +tax) and the “one per person, limited quantities each day” line remain on all five. The text below is kept as the September 8 record. See our September 19 article for details.

“So how much does the NARUTO Card Game actually cost?” As of September 8, 2026, there is exactly one item the official site answers that question for.

Booster packs and starter decks have no announced sales format at all. The single item with a published manufacturer’s suggested retail price is the official playmat.

The catch is that this information exists only as one line buried in each event page. So we cross-checked all six event pages on the English official site and pulled the answer — where, for how much, and under what conditions — into one place.

About this article: everything below is based on the event pages of the English NARUTO Card Game official site as confirmed on September 8, 2026. No product photo, size or material has been published for the mat itself. Plans may change.

“-Arriving in 2027-” Is Part of the Product Name

Start with the name. All five venue pages carry the same two lines together:

Just like the “-Gen Con 2026 Ver.-” suffix on the CP-001 Chakra Card, “-Arriving in 2027-” is printed as part of the product name. We could find no sentence on any of the six pages explaining what it means in practice — whether you carry the mat home from the venue or receive it in 2027.

On the (now finished) Gen Con 2026 page, even the voucher is named “NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat — Arriving in 2027 Purchase Voucher.” The “Arriving in 2027” wording has been attached to the name since it first appeared in July.

Five Venues — And the Terms Match Exactly

The official pages state that the mat is sold at five venues, all between October and November.

And the “Merchandise” blocks on all five pages are identical, word for word.

MSRP: $35 (+tax) *Limited to one item per person. Available in limited quantities each day.

Different show lengths, different countries, different currency zones — yet the price, the per-person limit and the daily-quantity note are exactly the same. At least as the pages currently read, there is nothing venue-specific to decode.

On every page, “Merchandise” sits as its own section, separate from the Tutorial Session block, and nothing states that buying the mat requires attending a session.

Gen Con 2026 Was a Completely Different Purchase

Gen Con 2026 (July 30 – August 2, finished) sold the same product at the same price, but through a different door.

The official page reads:

available exclusively to attendees with a Purchase Ticket obtained from participation in a Tutorial Session

The voucher was valid only on the day you attended (Purchase Ticket valid only on the day of the attended event). And the session gift set — one per person — contained four things:

Because the session tickets sold out early for both the Thursday and Saturday slots, at Gen Con the mat was effectively only available to people who got into a session.

At the five October venues the voucher wording is gone and the mat is sold directly at the booth (see our report on the August 7 announcement). Anyone planning around the Gen Con model will read this wrong.

The Price Stays in US Dollars — No Local-Currency Figure

The easiest thing to miss is the currency.

The pages for the four venues held in Germany (Essen), France (Paris), Italy (Lucca) and Australia (Melbourne) all quote “$35 (+tax)” in US dollars. A euro or Australian dollar price appears on none of them.

Nor is there any statement about accepted payment methods, or how each country’s VAT is applied on top. The accurate reading is that nothing beyond “$35 (+tax)” has been decided — or at least published.

No Way to Buy It in Japan Has Been Announced

All five venues are outside Japan.

• General retail and online sales are unannounced (our product database entry still lists zero purchase links)
• Chances to buy it in Japan: zero
• The Tokyo stop of BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 is still labelled only “Early 2027,” with no dates, venue or merchandise information

This mirrors the fact that none of the 14 confirmed CP-001 Chakra Card giveaways take place in Japan. As things stand, there is no confirmed way to obtain physical NARUTO Card Game merchandise from inside Japan during 2026.

As our preorder and lottery hub notes, this playmat is not an online preorder. It is an item you buy in person, at the venue, if you can get there.

What Is Still Unannounced

• The product itself — size, material, design and product photos are all unpublished
• What “-Arriving in 2027-” means for delivery — no page explains whether you take it home or receive it later
• Daily stock and sales hours — “limited quantities each day” is all that is written; no unit count, no opening time
• Local-currency pricing and payment methods
• Whether online or general retail sales will happen at all
• Any sales opportunity in Japan
• Whether BCG Fest cities (including Orlando and London) will sell merchandise — their NARUTO pages carry no merchandise section

Summary

• As far as we can confirm, the only NARUTO Card Game item with a published price is the official playmat
• Its full name is “NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027-,” and no page explains what the suffix means
• It is sold at five venues (NYCC, PAX Aus, SPIEL Essen, Paris Games Week, Lucca), with MSRP $35 (+tax), one per person, limited quantities each day stated identically at all five
