There are five Chakra Cards, C-001 to C-005 — the CHAKRA set's contents read from its card images, and the Naruto and Sasuke samples turn out to have different artwork
Chakra Cards are not a single card.
The 先行体験会 (Premier Demo Event) page published on October 13, 2026 put Japan’s in-store demo events on the calendar all at once — venues, dates, application windows and merchandise prices, all of which yesterday’s article worked through. One thing it did not get to: the card images pasted into the page.
Open them one by one, and four card numbers appear that our card database did not have.
Basis for this article: everything below is read from the card images on the Japanese 先行体験会 page and the English Premier Demo Event page (both published October 13, 2026), checked October 14, 2026. The official site states neither the card count nor the content of any individual card in words. We therefore separate “what the images show” from “what the official site says in words” throughout. Because this site does not reproduce official card images, the card faces are described in text and in our card database (the one exception is a quote in a single-card analysis — see the CP-001 analysis).
1. What is in the CHAKRA set — six card images
The Merchandise section of the official page contains only three lines of text:
プレミアムカードコレクション vol.00 -チャクラセット- ¥ 1,650(税込) ※おひとり様1つまで
(Premium Card Collection vol.00 -CHAKRA set-, ¥1,650 tax included, one per person.) Nothing at all about the contents. Below those three lines, however, sit one product shot and six card images. Reading the card numbers printed at the bottom right of each:
| No. | Card name | Type |
|---|---|---|
| C-001C-001 | Chakra Card | CHAKRA |
| C-002C-002 | Chakra Card | CHAKRA |
| C-003C-003 | Chakra Card | CHAKRA |
| C-004C-004 | Chakra Card | CHAKRA |
| C-005C-005 | Chakra Card | CHAKRA |
| S-001S-001 | Summon Card | SUMMON |
The product shot itself has two parts, a box front and an insert holding the cards, and the insert shows six slots.
One caution: the number “six” is not something the official site wrote. It published images only, and never says “6 cards” or “five Chakra cards and one Summon card.” Nothing in the text rules out further cards or components. We treat six as what the card images and product shot show, and will update this when an official written figure appears.
2. C-002 to C-005 are new card numbers
Of the six, C-002, C-003, C-004 and C-005 had never appeared in any official primary source before.
Our card database likewise listed only C-001 as a Chakra Card, based on the sample images published at the July 29, 2026 reveal. Our article on the card numbering system counted one card under C- and one promo under CP-. Those four images take the C- column to five at a stroke.
Each of the four shows a different character:
- C-002 (Sasuke Uchiha)
Sasuke mid-stance wreathed in flame, with a large Sharingan-eyed Sasuke behind him. - C-003 (Sakura Haruno)
Cherry petals in the air, with Shippuden-era Sakura behind. - C-004 (Kakashi Hatake)
Kakashi wrapped in lightning, with a Sharingan-eyed Kakashi behind. - C-005 (Gaara)
Gaara trailing sand, with the “love” kanji on his forehead behind him.
C-001 and S-001 both show Naruto Uzumaki, so the six cards in the CHAKRA set depict five characters: Naruto (twice), Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi and Gaara — Team 7’s three, their jonin instructor, and the third of the three starter deck leaders at launch.
3. The effect text is identical across all five
This is the part most likely to surprise anyone coming from another TCG. C-001 through C-005 share both their name and their effect text, exactly.
Chakra Card When using Chakra, turn this card face-down.
That single line is all of it. The card type field reads CHAKRA on all five, and there is no rarity field and no Chakra cost field on the card face. The Japanese printings read 「チャクラカード」 /「チャクラを使用する際、このカードを裏向きにする。」 identically.
So what separates C-001 from C-005 is artwork, not in-game performance. As our guide to the Chakra Card covered, you prepare five Chakra cards at the start of a battle. That five matches the five card numbers now in existence. But no rule saying “the five must be five different numbers” has been published, so we leave it at the facts: there are five numbers, and you prepare five cards.
4. C-001 and S-001 have a second artwork
This was the biggest surprise.
The Card Types section of “About the NARUTO Card Game,” published at the July 29, 2026 reveal, shows sample images of C-001 and S-001. Their designs were:
- C-001 (sample): orange, carrying only a swirl. No character.
- S-001 (sample): black, carrying only a silhouette of Naruto.
The CHAKRA set printings are newly drawn character artwork in both cases: C-001 shows Naruto with a Rasengan, S-001 a densely coloured composition of Naruto running. The card numbers match, but the art does not.
The official site offers no explanation. Whether these are separate printings under one number, or whether the July samples were placeholder designs, cannot be settled from the page. Our card database records both card faces as confirmed and treats the relationship as unannounced.
There is one further correction on S-001. We had recorded its Japanese effect text as 「このカードをレストにし、キャラカードを登場できる。」, read from the July 29 sample image (439 px wide). The new high-resolution card image clearly reads 「このカードをレストにし、キャラクターカードを登場できる。」, and we have corrected the database accordingly. The sample is too low-resolution to settle whether it carries the same wording, so this is an improvement in our reading, not a reported text change. The English text is “You may rest this card to summon a Character card.” in both.
5. “NOT FOR SALE” separates merchandise from give-aways
The same page carries card images outside the CHAKRA set too: CP-001 in the participation gift section, and N-001 and N-012 in the demo deck section. Line up the right edges, and the “NOT FOR SALE” marking splits them cleanly.
| Card face | NOT FOR SALE | Status |
|---|---|---|
| C-001–C-005, S-001 | Absent | CHAKRA set (sold at ¥1,650) |
| CP-001CP-001 | Present | Premier Demo Event participation gift |
| N-001, N-012 | Present | Demo deck leaders |
The CHAKRA set is a ¥1,650 product, so the absence of a non-sale marking follows. Put the other way round, the marking is a way to tell from the card face alone whether a card is merchandise.
The copyright line also differs by language version: the Japanese printings read ©K S/S·T·P BANDAI MADE IN JAPAN, the English printings ©2002 MK ©2002MK - 2007SP BANDAI MADE IN JAPAN. Same card number, different imprint.
The illustrator credit is printed along the right edge as well:
| No. | Illustrator credit |
|---|---|
| C-001 | Yayamihachi |
| C-002 | Bashikou |
| C-003 | nuisuke |
| C-004 | Sunohara |
| C-005 | Akeyoshi Yamamoto |
| S-001 | bikku |
| CP-001 | Taiga Itokazu |
Six cards, six different illustrators — exactly the structure the official site described when it promised “newly drawn illustrations by the anime staff and a variety of creators.”
6. The demo deck leaders are N-001 and N-012
The Demo Decks section shows just two card faces: N-001 (Naruto Uzumaki) and N-012 (Sasuke Uchiha). The accompanying line reads “Participants will play against each other using either the Naruto Deck or Sasuke Deck,” so the card faces confirm which leader heads each of the two demo decks.
Both were already known from the July 29, 2026 reveal, effect text included, and are in our card database. What is new is that both credit “LAYUP” as illustrator and that both carry the “NOT FOR SALE” marking — consistent with the page’s statement that demo decks cannot be taken home.
7. What is still unknown
- An official written figure for the CHAKRA set’s card count (six is read from images; no text states it)
- The set’s size and packaging specification
- How the two artworks for C-001 and S-001 relate (separate printings, or placeholder samples)
- Whether the five Chakra cards you prepare must be five different numbers (no rule published)
- Whether C-002–C-005 also appear in other products such as the starter decks
- Which printing the published CP-001 card face belongs to (no version name on the card)
- Whether Chakra Cards have rarity at all (no rarity field on the card face)
Summary
- The Premium Card Collection vol.00 -CHAKRA set- (¥1,650 tax incl.) is shown with six card images: C-001–C-005 (Chakra Cards) and S-001 (Summon Card)
- C-002, C-003, C-004 and C-005 are card numbers revealed for the first time, depicting Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi and Gaara
- The five Chakra Cards are identical in name and effect text; only the artwork differs. No rarity or cost field on the card face
- C-001 and S-001 have artwork different from the July 29 samples. Same card number, no official explanation
- The “NOT FOR SALE” marking is absent on the merchandise and present on the gift CP-001 and the demo deck leaders N-001 and N-012
- The card count is not stated in words by the official site, so we treat it as read from images
The CHAKRA set can be bought in Japan at the Premier Demo Events running from January 16, 2027 (applications open December 1, 2026), and overseas at the Premier Demo Events and the Orlando and London stops of BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27. The next major announcement is Jump Festa 2027 (December 19–20, 2026, Makuhari Messe), which overlaps the application windows.
For the CP-001 card face, our single-card analysis compares its effect text, artwork and markings against C-001.
