BREAKING: NARUTO at BCG Fest Tokyo is a "Demo Session in BCGFest" — both sessions, and all three merchandise items are Premium Bandai only, buyable without attending

We finally know what people are applying for.

In our September 15 article on the Tokyo stop of BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27, we wrote that “you can tell when, where and how to apply, but not what you are applying for.” That gap was filled on October 16, 2026.

Basis for this article: everything below comes from the Japanese NARUTO Card Game official site’s Tokyo stop page (dated October 16, 2026) and the Japanese BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 official site: the NARUTO Card Game content list (October 16), How to Buy (October 15), FAQ (October 16) and the individual product pages. Checked October 16, 2026. We quote the official wording and say so where we could not confirm something.

1. The NARUTO official site carried the Tokyo stop for the first time

This is the change that triggered today’s detection. The Japanese NARUTO Card Game official site’s news list gained an entry dated 2026.10.16: “Event information for 「BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in TOKYO」 is now live!”

Until today the site only had a July 29, 2026 entry for “「BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27」” — a notice about the Fest as a whole, with no city name. That entry has now been replaced with the “in TOKYO” version and re-dated October 16. The state we described on September 15 — “not posted on the NARUTO Card Game official site” — ended after one month and one day.

Note that this Tokyo page exists in Japanese only. The same path under the English (/en/), English(Asia) (/asia-en/) and Traditional Chinese (/asia-tc/) versions all return 404, and on the Fest site /26-27/en/tokyo/ and /26-27/zh-tw/tokyo/ are still 404 (checked today). The pattern we documented in official site news differs by language version holds for the Tokyo stop too.

Here is the outline as written on the NARUTO official site’s page.

2. NARUTO’s programme is a demo session at both sessions

This was the item everyone wanted. The Fest site’s “NARUTO Card Game content list” lists two Main Events:

Main Event Held Sat Feb 20 and Sun Feb 21 体験会 in BCGFest Held Sat Mar 6 and Sun Mar 7 体験会 in BCGFestest

Both sessions are demo sessions; there is no mention of a tournament. For a game launching in June 2027 that is not a surprise. It reads as the same kind of content as the “Teaching Session” run in seven Asian cities (August 29 article), provided twice over in Tokyo.

A small detail: the March heading is written “体験会 in BCGFestest” (verbatim; the February one reads “体験会 in BCGFest”, with the extra “est” only on the March line). Since the spelling varies within the same page, the natural reading is that it does not signal different content for February and March — but the official site offers no explanation.

The same page states the following about venues and reception:

  • Venues: [February] TOC Exhibition Hall / [March] Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B・C
  • Reception times: to be announced later
  • “BANDAI TCG+” is required to take part. Face photo registration is required to apply, to participate and to receive the visitor giveaway
  • Face photo screening “may take more than a week”
  • The event uses facial-recognition check-in

So “a demo session will be held” and “at which venue on which days” are settled, but the reception times, capacity and the application page for the demo session itself are still unpublished. “A demo session at both sessions” does not tell us whether one person may apply to both, or how many slots exist per session.

3. Application schedule — the “two different windows” is resolved

The same content list carries NARUTO’s application schedule.

RoundApplication windowResults
Main EventFri Nov 20 – Sun Nov 29, 2026Around Mon Dec 14, 2026
Side Event (advance)Fri Dec 25, 2026 – Sun Jan 3, 2027Around Fri Jan 15, 2027
Side Event (second round)From Feb 10, 2027Not stated

This is the other piece of progress today. In the September 15 article and the pre-order and lottery hub, we reported that the Side Event advance window was stated two ways on the official site (How to Participate page: November 20–29; outline page: December 25 – January 3), and that our October 7 re-check found it unresolved.

Today we re-fetched the How to Participate page and found the advance round rewritten to “Fri Dec 25, 2026 – Sun Jan 3, 2027” with “results around Fri Jan 15, 2027.” That matches the outline page and the content list — all three pages now agree. No correction notice was added, but the discrepancy is gone. If you plan to apply, treat the advance round as December 25 – January 3.

What to do before applying — 35 days until Main Event applications open

Main Event applications open Friday, November 20, 2026 — 35 days from today (October 16).

  1. Right now: face photo registration in the BANDAI TCG+ app — required to apply, to participate and to receive the visitor giveaway, and the official site states screening “may take more than a week.” Steps and the photo patterns that get rejected are in our face photo registration guide
  2. By the application deadline (November 29): link your My Number Card — being unlinked when you apply is fine as long as linking completes by the deadline
  3. Put the December 25 – January 3 Side Event advance round on your calendar — the wording was finally unified today
  4. If you only want the merchandise, 19:00 on January 8, 2027 (section 5) — no application needed

One more wrinkle: the second round’s start date is written “Wed Feb 10, 2027” on the content list and “Fri Feb 10, 2027” on the How to Participate page — only the weekday differs (the date is February 10 either way; February 10, 2027 is a Wednesday). Also, the second round for the February session (from January 29, 2027) covers only UNION ARENA and Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World, with NARUTO listed only for the March session (from February 10). NARUTO runs a demo session at TOC Exhibition Hall in February, yet is not eligible for the February second round — unchanged since September 15.

4. Three merchandise items — prices and contents are all out

The Tokyo stop now has a merchandise page (the How to Buy page is dated October 15). The state we described in the October 13 article — “no merchandise page exists for any title at the Tokyo stop” — lasted three days.

There are three NARUTO Card Game items.

ProductPriceContents
Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027-¥3,850 (tax incl.)Playmat x 1
Official Playmat -NARUTO vs. SASUKE-¥3,850 (tax incl.)Playmat x 1
Premium Card Collection vol.00 -Chakra Set-¥1,650 (tax incl.)Six card types, one of each

All three sit under “SPECIAL PRODUCTS”, separate from the other six titles’ “event commemorative products” — the same treatment we found at the seven Asian stops in the October 13 article.

Two new facts are embedded in that table.

A yen price for “-Arriving in 2027-” for the first time

As we set out in the September 8 purchase guide, the published price for the existing “NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027-” was “MSRP: $35 (+tax)” in US dollars on every venue page — including the German, French, Italian and Australian pages, none of which carried a local-currency price.

It now has a yen price for the first time: ¥3,850 (tax included).

As a result, the two playmats sit side by side at the same ¥3,850 (tax incl.) at the Tokyo stop. In US dollars they differ — US$35 (excl. tax) for -Arriving in 2027- versus US$40 for -NARUTO vs. SASUKE- — but in yen they are identical. We continue to register them as separate products, and the official side still says nothing about how the two relate. The matching yen price does not, by itself, indicate anything.

“Six card types, one of each” is now stated in text

In our October 14 article we reconstructed the contents of the “Premium Card Collection vol.00 -Chakra Set-” by reading the six card images, noting that “the official side has written nothing at all in prose about the card count or the individual cards.”

Today’s product page states “six card types, one of each” in the contents field. The count we read from the images — six cards: five Chakra Cards (C-001 through C-005) plus S-001 Summon Card — matches the official prose. Which six, however, is still not stated in text.

5. The biggest change: you can buy without attending

This is the practical headline for readers in Japan. The Tokyo stop has no on-site sales at all.

This event does not sell commemorative or special products at the venue, nor hand them over there. They are sold only on Bandai’s official online store, Premium Bandai.

And the FAQ says:

Q. Can I take part in the merchandise sale without attending the event? Yes. Please use Premium Bandai’s “general advance sale” and “general post-event sale.”

This is the first official statement confirming a route to buy the two limited items in Japan without attending an event.

As of the October 13 article our conclusion was “we still cannot confirm any way to buy these in Japan.” The merchandise at the 11 Premier Demo Event venues revealed in the October 13 Japan article is aimed at people who win the lottery and attend, and the official page says only “products will be sold on a priority basis to those who attended the Premier Demo Event” and “these products will also be sold outside this event” — without saying where “outside this event” is. Today one of those places turned out to be Premium Bandai, via the BCG Fest Tokyo general sale.

There are four sales phases.

BCG Fest Tokyo merchandise sales schedule (from the How to Buy page)

4. General post-event saleMon Mar 15, 2027 12:00 – Sun Apr 4 23:00AnyoneSpring 2027

Conditions worth noting:

  • Phase 1 uses serial numbers, sent to winners and waitlist winners through BANDAI TCG+ (scheduled for distribution on Friday, December 18, 2026). One per person, no reissues, and transferring a serial number may result in account suspension. Only products of the title you won can be bought
  • Phases 2 and 4 are open to anyone, but “some products are sold by lottery” and “each product’s sale ends once the prepared quantity is reached.” Which products are lottery-based is not stated yet
  • Phase 3 offers different products depending on which venue you attended, and NARUTO Card Game is listed for both TOC Exhibition Hall attendees and Ikebukuro Sunshine City attendees (it appears at both sessions)
  • The Premium Bandai purchase pages are “scheduled to go live around Thursday, December 24” (FAQ). Payment methods are to be checked on each product’s purchase page

In short: even if you miss out on the Tokyo demo session, you should be able to buy all three items from 19:00 on January 8, 2027. But the conditions include “some products are sold by lottery” and “ends once the prepared quantity is reached”, and the purchase limit per person is not published. It is tempting to extrapolate from the “one per person” limit at the Premier Demo Event venues, but Premium Bandai’s limit is not stated officially, so we do not assert one.

6. The venue name changed from “Exhibition Hall C” to “Exhibition Hall B・C”

Small, but it matters if you are going. The March 6–7 venue name has changed from the September 15 wording “Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall C” to “Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B・C”, and the floor in the address went from “Bunka Kaikan Bldg. 3F” to “3F・4F” (outline page).

The venue heading on the visitor giveaway page now also reads “Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B・C”, which reads as a two-hall layout using Halls B and C. There is no official “this has changed” note. We have updated our event calendar and pre-order and lottery hub, plus the relevant passages in the September 15 and October 13 articles, today.

7. NARUTO’s visitor giveaway is still blank

The point we raised on September 15 — NARUTO is confirmed at both sessions, yet the visitor giveaway column alone is empty — has not changed today.

We re-fetched the visitor giveaway page today: it is still dated 2026.09.15 and still lists six titles (Battle Spirits / Digimon Card Game / ONE PIECE Card Game / UNION ARENA / Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World / Gundam Card Game). NARUTO does not appear in the per-venue distribution list either.

At the same time, the content list page — a NARUTO page — says face photo registration is required “to apply, to participate and to receive the visitor giveaway”, and the FAQ says “the visitor giveaway is handed over on admission.” Whether NARUTO has a giveaway, or whether only the six listed titles do, cannot be determined from the official wording.

8. What the FAQ tells us — do the “battle content” conditions apply to a demo session?

The FAQ published today (October 16) is shared across all titles, but two passages matter when thinking about NARUTO’s demo session.

Q. What do I need to take part in battle content? ・A deck for the title you are entering (Japanese-language cards only) ・A device with the BANDAI TCG+ app installed ・Photo ID

Q. Is there a deck rental service? There is no deck rental service at this event.

The NARUTO Card Game launches in June 2027, so no retail decks will exist in February or March 2027. The NARUTO official site’s Tokyo page carries the shared line “each venue will run battle content and more”, but the programme listed for NARUTO is a demo session.

Whether this FAQ also applies to demo sessions cannot be determined from the official wording. At the Teaching Sessions in seven Asian cities and at Japan’s Premier Demo Events, players used demo decks provided by the organiser (the Premier Demo Events use two decks, “Naruto Uzumaki Deck” and “Sasuke Uchiha Deck”, which cannot be taken home — October 13 article). It is hard to imagine the Tokyo demo session requiring you to bring a deck, but that is our reading; the official side does not draw the distinction. We will need the demo session details, along with the reception times.

9. How much of the “September 15 unknowns” list is filled in?

Here is the status of the items we listed at the end of the September 15 article (merchandise was folded into “programme” back then; we separate it here).

September 15 “still unknown”Status on October 16, 2026
NARUTO’s programmeFilled in (a demo session at both sessions)
NARUTO’s merchandiseFilled in (three items, prices and the sales schedule)
NARUTO’s visitor giveawayUnannounced (the giveaway page is still dated September 15 with six titles)
The correct Side Event advance windowResolved (all three pages say December 25 – January 3)
How February’s NARUTO Side Event is handledUnannounced (the second round covers the March session only)
What “content varies by BANDAI TCG+ status” maps toUnannounced
How much the My Number Card “priority” is worthUnannounced
Posting on the NARUTO official sitePosted (Japanese only, dated October 16)

Four items moved and four remain. Today also added new unknowns:

  • Reception times, capacity and the application page URL for the demo session (“to be announced later”)
  • The purchase limit per person for each product, and which products are lottery-based
  • Whether one person may apply to the demo sessions at both sessions
  • When the English and Traditional Chinese Tokyo pages will go live (404 on both the Fest and NARUTO official sites)

Summary

  • The Japanese NARUTO Card Game official site published a Tokyo stop page for the first time, dated October 16, 2026 (English, English(Asia) and Traditional Chinese versions have not)
  • NARUTO’s programme is a demo session (“体験会 in BCGFest”) at both sessions: February 20–21 at TOC Exhibition Hall, March 6–7 at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall B・C. Reception times, capacity and the application page are to be announced later
  • Merchandise is three items: Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027- (¥3,850 tax incl., its first yen price), Official Playmat -NARUTO vs. SASUKE- (¥3,850 tax incl.) and Premium Card Collection vol.00 -Chakra Set- (¥1,650 tax incl., “six card types, one of each” now stated in text). All three sit under “SPECIAL PRODUCTS”
  • Nothing is sold on site — Premium Bandai only. The FAQ states “Can I take part in the merchandise sale without attending the event? Yes.”, and the general advance sale from 19:00 January 8 to 23:00 January 17, 2027 is open to anyone — the first statement confirming a route to buy the two limited items in Japan without attending an event
  • The two conflicting Side Event advance windows left over from September 15 are resolved (all three pages: December 25 – January 3). The March venue changed from “Exhibition Hall C” to “Exhibition Hall B・C”
  • NARUTO’s visitor giveaway is still not listed, and how February’s Side Event is handled remains unannounced

Application status is tracked on the pre-order and lottery hub and session dates on the event calendar. We will update the product database the same day the demo session reception times, the application page, and the Premium Bandai purchase pages (due around December 24) appear.
