When do NARUTO Card Game pre-orders start? As of October 2, 2026 there is nothing to pre-order — the only thing you can officially apply for is a demo lottery

Looking at our own analytics for August 24–30, 2026, the page that receives the most search traffic by a wide margin is our pre-order and lottery hub — roughly 38% of all organic search sessions landed on that single page. In other words, what people search for before release is overwhelmingly “where can I pre-order this?”

So this article lays out the pre-order situation using only facts that have been officially announced or published. The short answer: there is not a single product you can pre-order. There are, however, three official sign-ups that are easy to mistake for pre-orders.

[Updated October 2, 2026] This article was published on September 1, 2026 and brought up to date on October 2. The conclusion — zero products to pre-order — has not changed in a month. Three things did:

1. Why the answer is zero

It is not that pre-orders “haven’t started yet.” More precisely, no product has been announced that could be reserved.

What the July 29, 2026 reveal published was the shape of the game — the official site describes starting a battle with “1 Leader card, a 50-card deck, 5 Chakra cards and 1 Entry card” — plus a roadmap running up to release. No product formats such as booster packs or starter decks, no prices, and no product line-up have been announced.

On timing, the official site states a worldwide simultaneous release in Summer 2027. The exact date is unannounced.

That means all of the following are still unannounced:

Pre-order opening date
Retailers carrying the product
Suggested retail price
Product line-up (boosters, starter decks, etc.)

So if you find a page claiming pre-orders are open right now, it is not based on an official announcement. Our own hub will not list product pre-orders until an official sign-up begins.

2. Easy to mistake for a pre-order (1): the Official Playmat

Exactly one item has been announced with a price attached: the “NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat” ($35 +tax, arriving in 2027).

But this is not a mail-order reservation. On the English official site’s New York Comic Con 2026 page (dated August 7, 2026), it appears under the “Merchandise” heading for NYCC 2026 (October 8–11, Javits Center, booth #2705).

It is presented as merchandise sold at the venue during the show, so you have to be there in person. It is not something you can reserve remotely.

3. Easy to mistake for a pre-order (2): the Teaching Session lottery

The other one is the lottery for the NARUTO Card Game demo, the “Teaching Session,” held at each stop of BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27.

This is not a lottery to buy a product — it is a lottery for a seat at the demo. Those drawn and attending receive a CP-001 Chakra Card (a promotional card) as the participant gift. You are not applying to buy a card; you are applying for a chance to be given one.

[Updated October 2, 2026] Application details are now published for all seven Asian cities, and three of them have closed. For the four cities still open (Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei), the figures below come from a direct re-check of their official pages on October 2. The three closed cities (Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong) carry the details we confirmed on their official pages while they were still accepting applications (all dates are local time at the venue).

How each city’s terms came to light, and the evidence that this is a lottery rather than first-come-first-served (the Traditional Chinese page labels it 抽籤結果公布, “lottery result announcement”), are covered in our August 29 and August 30 articles. We have also added every city’s status to the pre-order and lottery hub.

Separately, applications for the main event at the BCG Fest 26-27 Tokyo stop (February 20–21 and March 6–7, 2027) are officially announced as November 20–29, 2026, with winners announced around December 14. That too is an application for event entry, not a product pre-order.

One caveat about the Fest site’s own wording: the Manila and Bangkok NARUTO pages label the detail block “On-Site Registration Side Event,” even though the chip at the top of the same page reads “Pre-Registered Event” and an application window and winner announcement date are both listed. Jakarta and Singapore say “Pre-Registered Event” in both places, and Hong Kong’s Traditional Chinese page says 事前報名活動. There is no official explanation of the difference, so check each city’s page directly before applying.

4. [Added October 2, 2026] Easy to mistake for a pre-order (3): TCGplayer opening its catalogue

This is the third item, and it appeared after publication. The seller-facing official blog of the North American trading card marketplace TCGplayer published “Now Available on TCGplayer: NARUTO CARD GAME” on September 22, 2026.

“A major marketplace started carrying the NARUTO Card Game” sounds like pre-orders opening, but what the blog describes as tradeable is the resale of promo cards already distributed at past events such as Gen Con 2026 and Yankee Stadium. The product itself is still slated for Summer 2027, so there is no product to list.

The same blog says sealed products and singles will be supported later, and that presale entries will be added to the catalogue as information is released — but no timing is given. Our September 23 article covers the details.

In short: the distribution side opened before the product did, and the number of products you can pre-order has not changed.

5. The one thing you can actually do today

You cannot pre-order a product, but you can get ready to apply for a demo seat — and this is something that has to be done before applications open, not after.

Applications go through BANDAI TCG+ (Bandai’s official card game app), and face photo registration in the app is a requirement. Each city page states that you cannot apply unless your profile shows “Face Photo Verified” (臉部照片已驗證 on the Hong Kong page) during the application window, and that approval may take a week or more.

[Updated October 2, 2026] If you are starting face photo registration now, the realistic targets are Kuala Lumpur (closes October 25) and Taipei (closes November 3). For Bangkok (October 4) and Singapore (October 12), starting from scratch is unlikely to make it in time given that approval can take over a week. If you plan to apply for the Tokyo stop, the same face photo registration is required. Applications run November 20–29, so getting approved during October is the safe play.

[Updated October 2, 2026] The registration method for the tutorial sessions at NYCC 2026 and PAX Aus 2026 changed after this article was published, when the official pages were rewritten on September 19, 2026. This article originally said registration would happen “on-site on the day.” The current position is (our September 19 article):

PAX Aus 2026 — advance registration on BANDAI TCG+, first-come-first-served (opened at 11:00 AM AEST on September 20, 2026; one event per person)

The conditions for receiving the participant gifts (CP-001 Chakra Card and a logo sticker) are unchanged: you must be registered to the “NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL” on BANDAI TCG+ and complete a survey after the session. Preparing your BANDAI TCG+ account in advance pays off at either venue.

6. What moves next

The official site’s roadmap states plainly: “Demo sessions at each convention event! More new information at New York Comic Con 2026!” In other words, the next big information drop is NYCC in October 2026, per the official site itself. The panel description for “NARUTO: What’s Next?” also promises the latest NARUTO Card Game news; as covered in our August 20 article, it starts at 5:00 PM local time on October 10.

[Added October 2, 2026] That slot can now be watched from anywhere. On September 29, 2026 the official NARUTO site (naruto-official.com) announced that the stage will be livestreamed worldwide on the NARUTO / BORUTO official YouTube channel (6:00–7:00 AM JST on Sunday, October 11). The same announcement stated, for the first time in an official Japanese-language source, that two things are planned: a “world-first reveal” about a brand-new NARUTO anime, and the latest information on the NARUTO Card Game releasing in 2027. Details are in our September 30 article.

That said, nothing official says a product line-up or pricing will be announced there. The wording stops at “latest information,” and the contents are unannounced. Whether an archive (replay) will be available is also unannounced.

Note that the official roadmap runs only through Gen Con 2026, BCG Fest 26-27 (11 cities worldwide, from October 2026), NYCC 2026, PAX Aus 2026, Spiel Essen 2026, Paris Games Week 2026, Lucca Comics & Games 2026 and the product release in Summer 2027. No other information dates are given.

Once a product line-up and pricing are announced at one of those moments, the pre-order conversation can actually begin. We will update the pre-order and lottery hub the same day any shop’s sign-up is officially confirmed, and post it on X.

Still unannounced as of October 2, 2026: the release date (only “Summer 2027”), the product line-up, pricing, the pre-order opening date, participating retailers, when TCGplayer will begin listing presales, CP-001’s card image / effect text / distribution quantity, what the Manila and Bangkok category labels mean, and what will be announced at the NYCC panel (and whether an archive will exist). If you see any of these stated as fact elsewhere, check the official primary source.
