When do NARUTO Card Game pre-orders start? As of September 1, 2026 there is nothing to pre-order — the only thing you can officially apply for is a demo lottery

Looking at our own analytics for August 24–30, 2026, the page that receives the most search traffic by a wide margin is our pre-order and lottery hub — roughly 38% of all organic search sessions landed on that single page. In other words, what people search for before release is overwhelmingly “where can I pre-order this?”

So this article lays out the pre-order situation as of September 1, 2026, using only facts that have been officially announced or published. The short answer: there is not a single product you can pre-order. There are, however, two official sign-ups that are easy to mistake for pre-orders — and one of them opens today.

1. Why the answer is zero

It is not that pre-orders “haven’t started yet.” More precisely, no product has been announced that could be reserved.

What the July 29, 2026 reveal published was the shape of the game — the official site describes starting a battle with “1 Leader card, a 50-card deck, 5 Chakra cards and 1 Entry card” — plus a roadmap running up to release. No product formats such as booster packs or starter decks, no prices, and no product line-up have been announced.

On timing, the official site states a worldwide simultaneous release in Summer 2027. The exact date is unannounced.

That means all of the following are still unannounced:

• Pre-order opening date
• Retailers carrying the product
• Suggested retail price
• Product line-up (boosters, starter decks, etc.)

So if you find a page claiming pre-orders are open right now, it is not based on an official announcement. Our own hub will not list product pre-orders until an official sign-up begins.

2. Easy to mistake for a pre-order (1): the Official Playmat

Exactly one item has been announced with a price attached: the “NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat” ($35 +tax, arriving in 2027).

But this is not a mail-order reservation. On the English official site’s New York Comic Con 2026 page (dated August 7, 2026), it appears under the “Merchandise” heading for NYCC 2026 (October 8–11, Javits Center, booth #2705).

• MSRP: $35 (+tax)
• Limited to one item per person
• Available in limited quantities each day
• The product name carries “-Arriving in 2027-”

It is presented as merchandise sold at the venue during the show, so you have to be there in person. It is not something you can reserve remotely.

3. Easy to mistake for a pre-order (2): the Teaching Session lottery

The other one is the lottery for the NARUTO Card Game demo, the “Teaching Session,” held at each stop of BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27.

This is not a lottery to buy a product — it is a lottery for a seat at the demo. Those drawn and attending receive a CP-001 Chakra Card (a promotional card) as the participant gift. You are not applying to buy a card; you are applying for a chance to be given one.

Application details have been published for five cities.

How each city’s terms came to light, and the evidence that this is a lottery rather than first-come-first-served (the Traditional Chinese page labels it 抽籤結果公布, “lottery result announcement”), are covered in our August 29 and August 30 articles. We have also added every city’s status to the pre-order and lottery hub.

One caveat about the Fest site’s own wording: the Manila and Bangkok NARUTO pages label the detail block “On-Site Registration Side Event,” even though the chip at the top of the same page reads “Pre-Registered Event” and an application window and winner announcement date are both listed. Jakarta and Singapore say “Pre-Registered Event” in both places, and Hong Kong’s Traditional Chinese page says 事前報名活動. There is no official explanation of the difference, so check each city’s page directly before applying.

4. The one thing you can actually do today

You cannot pre-order a product, but you can get ready to apply for a demo seat — and this is something that has to be done before applications open, not after.

Applications go through BANDAI TCG+ (Bandai’s official card game app), and face photo registration in the app is a requirement. Each city page states that you cannot apply unless your profile shows “Face Photo Verified” (臉部照片已驗證 on the Hong Kong page) during the application window, and that approval may take a week or more.

Bangkok and Singapore open on September 11 — ten days from today. Given that photo approval can take over a week, getting registered this week is the safe play. Our BANDAI TCG+ registration guide walks through the steps.

Separately, the tutorial sessions at NYCC 2026 and PAX Aus 2026 are not lotteries — registration is planned to happen on-site on the day. To receive the participant gifts (CP-001 Chakra Card and a logo sticker) you must be registered to the “NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL” on BANDAI TCG+ and complete a survey after the session. Advance registration pays off there too.

5. What moves next

The official site’s roadmap states plainly: “Demo sessions at each convention event! More new information at New York Comic Con 2026!” In other words, the next big information drop is NYCC in October 2026, per the official site itself. The panel description for “NARUTO: What’s Next?” also promises the latest NARUTO Card Game news; as covered in our August 20 article, it starts at 5:00 PM local time on October 10.

Note that the official roadmap runs only through Gen Con 2026, BCG Fest 26-27 (11 cities worldwide, from October 2026), NYCC 2026, PAX Aus 2026, Spiel Essen 2026, Paris Games Week 2026, Lucca Comics & Games 2026 and the product release in Summer 2027. No other information dates are given.

Once a product line-up and pricing are announced at one of those moments, the pre-order conversation can actually begin. We will update the pre-order and lottery hub the same day any shop’s sign-up is officially confirmed, and post it on X.

Still unannounced as of September 1, 2026: the release date (only “Summer 2027”), the product line-up, pricing, the pre-order opening date, participating retailers, CP-001’s card image / effect text / distribution quantity, and what the Manila and Bangkok category labels mean.
