The First Booster Pack's Japanese Name Is "Sanjo! Uzumaki Naruto" — The Same as the Subtitle of Episode 1 of the Anime. Japanese Names for the Demo Events and the Two Exclusives Are Out Too, and There Are Two Official English Names
The first Booster Pack has a Japanese name: 参上! (Sanjo! Uzumaki Naruto).
On October 11, 2026, the official NARUTO site (naruto-official.com) published the New York Comic Con 2026 announcement in Japanese. In yesterday’s article we wrote that “as of October 11, 2026 the announcement does not appear on the Japanese official site or in the English official site’s news list” — and then, the same day, a Japanese article appeared on the official NARUTO site. We have corrected that statement; see §6.
What came out was not just a translation of the announcement. The official Japanese names of the products and events were revealed together.
Basis for this article: everything below comes from the October 11, 2026 article on the official NARUTO site (naruto-official.com), BANDAI’s official press release of October 10, 2026, the TV TOKYO Holdings press release of October 11, 2026, and the card game’s official site (naruto-cardgame.com). Original wording is quoted, and where interpretation is required we say so. The full announcement is covered in Launch Is “June 2027”.
1. The Japanese official names
Four names can be read off the official NARUTO site article.
| Item | Official Japanese name |
|---|---|
| First Booster Pack |
| In-store demo events | NARUTO
The original lines are:
2027年6月に3種のスターターデッキと第一弾のブースターパック「参上!うずまきナルト」の発売が決定しました!
各地のトレーディングカードゲームショップにて体験会「NARUTOカードゲーム 先行体験会」を開催します!
さらに、先行販売商品として「オフィシャルプレイマット -ナルトvsサスケ-」および「プレミアムカードコレクション vol.00 -チャクラセット-」も初公開しました。
A small detail: the Japanese text uses kanji numerals (“第一弾” for the first set) and writes the volume number in lowercase as “vol.00” (BANDAI’s English press release uses “Vol.00”). We have updated our product database to match this official styling.
The scope of the set was also stated in Japanese:
新規カードイラストも多数公開された、第一弾のブースターパック「参上!うずまきナルト」には、少年編・疾風伝から、人気キャラクターが収録されます!
This corresponds to BANDAI’s “features popular characters from both the original NARUTO series and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN.” The two works — the original NARUTO (written “少年篇,” the Part I era, on the official NARUTO site) and Shippuden — match between the Japanese and English wording. As for BORUTO, neither source lists it for the first booster.
2. “参上!うずまきナルト” is the subtitle of Episode 1 of the anime
The booster title looked familiar, so we checked it against the official site.
The official NARUTO site’s anime episode list contains NARUTO Part I, Land of Waves arc, Episode 1: “参上!うずまきナルト.” Its synopsis reads:
(“Konohagakure, in the Land of Fire, is one of the hidden villages where ninja live. Naruto Uzumaki, the dropout of the ninja academy, is up to his pranks again today — and fails the graduation exam once more.”)
So the title of the first Booster Pack is the subtitle of Episode 1 of the NARUTO anime, verbatim. The first episode’s title has been put on the first set.
To be careful: the official side has not said “we took this from Episode 1.” What can be verified is only that the same string is used, on the official site’s anime episode list, as the subtitle of Part I’s Land of Waves arc Episode 1. The reason for the naming has not been announced.
Still, the match sits naturally alongside the stated scope. The first booster covers “Part I and Shippuden,” and its title is the very first subtitle of Part I. Those two facts are consistent with reading the first set as the entry point into Naruto’s story.
The relationship between card names and the terms used in the manga and anime is also covered in Card Names and Their Sources.
3. There are two official English names
This is the part that needs the most care. For the same products and events, two official English names exist.
| Item | BANDAI English press release (Oct 10) | Official NARUTO site, EN (Oct 11) |
|---|---|---|
| First Booster Pack | Enter: Naruto Uzumaki! | Here Comes Naruto Uzumaki! |
| In-store demo events | Premier Demo Events | NARUTO CARD GAME Advance Trial Events |
| Exclusive playmat | Official Playmat - NARUTO VS. SASUKE - | Official Playmat -Naruto vs. Sasuke- |
| Exclusive card product | Premium Card Collection Vol.00 - CHAKRA Set | Premium Card Collection vol.00 -Chakra Set- |
Both are official. So which is the English product name?
There is one piece of evidence. The official NARUTO site carries this note at the foot of its articles:
Please be aware that some news articles contain machine-translated text. As a result, some expressions may be unusual or difficult to understand.
In other words, the site itself states that its English articles may contain machine translation. “Here Comes Naruto Uzumaki!” is a natural direct rendering of “参上!うずまきナルト,” which is consistent with a machine-translated result.
BANDAI’s English press release, by contrast, is an English announcement from the business behind the game (BANDAI CO., LTD.’s BANDAI CARD GAMES brand), and the product name appears in its headline:
BANDAI CARD GAMES Reveals Starter Decks, First Booster Pack “Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!,” and a Global 1 Million Demo Deck Campaign
We adopt “Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!” as the English product name and “参上!うずまきナルト” as the Japanese one. However, no official statement reconciling the two has been published, so we keep both spellings in the notes of our product database and will update if the official side clarifies.
4. What still has no Japanese name
Even in this Japanese article, the product names of the three Starter Decks do not appear. The original line is:
3種のスターターデッキは、うずまきナルト、うちはサスケ、我愛羅をそれぞれ中心とした3種の構築済みデッキ!
That is a description (“three pre-constructed decks centered on Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara”), not a product name of the form “Starter Deck ___.” BANDAI’s English release likewise goes only as far as “three Starter Decks led by Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Gaara.”
Our product database therefore still lists the three Starter Decks under provisional names based on the Leader, such as “Starter Deck (Leader: Naruto Uzumaki).” We will replace them when official product names appear. Our analysis of the three Leaders against the two known Leader cards is in Three Starter Deck Leaders.
Beyond that, the price, the exact launch date in June, the cards per pack, the deck count, the card list and the rarity system are not in the Japanese text either. A full inventory of unannounced items is in The 13 Figures Still at Zero.
5. A Special Animated Trailer was released — but the Japanese article embeds the English channel’s video
The official NARUTO site article also notes a video:
『NARUTOカードゲーム』が「スペシャルアニメトレーラー」と共に最新情報をニューヨーク・コミコンにて発表!
BANDAI’s English press release adds who made it:
The NYCC presentation opened with the public premiere of a new teaser featuring original artwork by Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the NARUTO anime.
So it is a teaser using new artwork by Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the NARUTO anime. The release gives the URL as https://youtu.be/bl_reRk9kD0.
One thing worth recording: the video embedded in the Japanese article on the official NARUTO site is that same bl_reRk9kD0. It is titled “【Official】NARUTO CARD GAME Special Animated Trailer” and was posted to the English official channel (@NARUTO_TCG_EN) — confirmed by us on October 12, 2026.
In other words, as of October 12, 2026 we find no link to a trailer posted on the Japanese channel (@naruto_tcg_jp), not even in the Japanese article. The @naruto_tcg_jp link in that article points to the channel’s top page, in the list of official sites and social accounts at the end.
6. The card game’s official site still says “Summer 2027”
Finally, the state of the official sites, with the date we checked. All of the following were confirmed by us on October 12, 2026.
| Page checked | State as of October 12, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Card game site, Japanese news list | Still the two items dated 2026.07.29. No NYCC announcement |
| Card game site, Japanese roadmap | Still “商品発売(世界同時発売 / 2027年夏)” — launch in Summer 2027 |
| Card game site, English news list | Still Tabletop.me, dated Oct. 09, 2026 |
| Official NARUTO site, Japanese | Has published the NYCC announcement (2026/10/11, category “カード”) |
So the Japanese-language information is coming from the official NARUTO site (naruto-official.com), not from the card game’s own site. There is a second Japanese primary source: a press release from TV TOKYO Holdings, Inc. (October 11, 2026, 10:01 JST).
BANDAI CARD GAMES
It says “from February 2027” and “in spring” in Japanese (the official NARUTO site’s wording was “from early 2027”). We work through the event schedule in The Demo Events Roll Out in Wave 1 and Wave 2.
Our correction
Yesterday’s article, the Starter Deck Leaders article and our product database all stated that “the announcement does not appear on the Japanese official site” and that “no Japanese product name has been announced.” The Japanese publication on the official NARUTO site made those statements wrong, so today we corrected the affected passages in all three languages and replaced the Japanese names in the product database with the official wording.
Summary
- The first Booster Pack’s Japanese name is 参上! The in-store events are NARUTOカードゲーム 先行体験会, and the two exclusives are オフィシャルプレイマット -ナルトvsサスケ- and プレミアムカードコレクション vol.00 -チャクラセット-
うずまきナルト” can be verified on the official site’s anime episode list as the subtitle of NARUTO Part I, Land of Waves arc, Episode 1 (the reason for the naming is unannounced)
- Two official English names exist (“Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!” / “Here Comes Naruto Uzumaki!”). The official NARUTO site itself notes that it uses machine translation
- The Japanese names of the three Starter Decks are still unannounced, as are the price, the launch date, the cards per pack and the card list
- As of October 12, 2026 the card game’s official site has not published this announcement, and the launch row of its Japanese roadmap still reads Summer 2027
The next major announcement window is Jump Festa 2027 (December 19–20, 2026, Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall). If the card game’s own site updates, we will record it with the date we checked.
