Not a Bandai product — Rocketship Entertainment brings "Naruto Mythos TCG" to North America at SDCC 2026
This article is commentary and analysis by this site. To keep it distinct from official facts, reasoning and speculation are clearly labeled.
San Diego Comic-Con 2026 (SDCC) runs Preview Night July 22 through Sunday July 26, 2026 in the US. Overseas media report that a product called “Naruto Mythos Trading Card Game” is getting its first North American rollout at the show. It is a completely different publisher and license from Bandai’s upcoming 2027 “NARUTO Card Game.” Following our July 16 article on KAYOU’s products, here’s another one to keep straight.
What is “Naruto Mythos TCG”?
Based on coverage from Anime News Network and Graphic Policy, plus information on the Naruto Mythos TCG official website (narutotcgmythos.com), here’s what we’ve confirmed:
- Developed and published by Cicaboom S.r.l. (Genoa, Italy)
- Launched in Europe and the MENA region in March 2026
- The official site lists a second set, “Shinobi Shiren,” planned for September 2026
- Rarities range from Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Rare ART up to Secret and a 22K real-gold top rarity
The only publisher information listed in the site’s footer is Cicaboom S.r.l.’s Italian company registration (Genoa, VAT number IT 02411280999N); we could not confirm any specific licensing credit from the original publisher on the page.
Rocketship Entertainment’s North American launch at SDCC 2026
According to the Anime News Network press release and Graphic Policy’s coverage, Rocketship Entertainment is the exclusive North American partner selling single packs, display boxes, and cases of “Naruto Mythos TCG” at SDCC 2026.
- Sales start on Preview Night (July 22), while supplies last
- Limited daily sales window from 9:00–10:30 a.m. throughout the con
- Every display box purchase includes an exclusive “Naruto Uzumaki – Shadow Clone Jutsu Mythos Rarity” card
- Online orders are also available through Rocketship’s “Comic Con @ Home Sale” (July 22–26)
How this differs from Bandai’s official NARUTO Card Game
By contrast, the new NARUTO Card Game we’ve been covering here is:
- A new title under the BANDAI CARD GAMES brand
- Set for a worldwide simultaneous release in 2027
- Getting a full product reveal on July 29, 2026 (Wed) at 23:00 JST
- Debuting its first-ever Tutorial Sessions at Gen Con 2026 in Indianapolis, July 30 – August 2, 2026
The two events are in different cities on different dates — SDCC (San Diego, July 22–26) and Gen Con (Indianapolis, July 30–August 2) — and there’s no direct connection between the two products.
Overseas TCG media (Universe TCG) has also published an explainer noting that enough fans confuse the two that it’s worth spelling out: “Naruto Mythos is NOT Bandai’s new game.”
Summary
With SDCC 2026 as a backdrop, expect more than one product calling itself “NARUTO trading cards” to trend this summer. When researching Bandai’s new title, remember its publisher is BANDAI CARD GAMES — stick to the official website and official social accounts to make sure you’re looking at the right game.
