There Is a Card Exhibition, a Photo Area, and Brand-New Art Reveals at NYCC — None of the Three Appears Under Any of the 15 Headings on the Official NYCC Page

New York Comic Con 2026 (NYCC) opened on October 8 local time. Yesterday’s article counted the 13 fields that still sit at zero in our databases as the show began.

On that opening day, the official English X account (@narutotcg_eng) added three things to what we know about the venue.

And all three are absent from the official NYCC event page.

What the official English X account posted on opening day

The post went up at 11:31 PM JST on October 8, 2026 (14:31 UTC / 10:31 AM local). Two photos are attached.

New York Comic Con begins! In addition to our Tutorial Sessions, we’re showing off some cards at the card exhibition, and there’s a photo area! There’ll be brand-new art reveals too, so if you’re at NYCC, make sure to check by! #NARUTOTCG

—— @narutotcg_eng (11:31 PM JST, October 8, 2026)

That is three distinct things:

  • A card exhibition — “we’re showing off some cards at the card exhibition”
  • A photo area — “there’s a photo area”
  • Brand-new art reveals — “There’ll be brand-new art reveals too”

Note the sentence structure: it opens with “In addition to our Tutorial Sessions,” which places these three alongside the demo sessions rather than inside them.

About ten hours earlier (1:31 PM JST on October 8), the same account posted the booth number and a pointer to the official site.

Hey Ninjas! New York Comic Con (NYCC) starts tomorrow, and we’ll be waiting for you at booth #2705! For more info on venue access, Tutorial Sessions, and merchandise, make sure to check the NYCC page on our official website!

—— @narutotcg_eng (1:31 PM JST / 0:31 AM local, October 8, 2026)

The three items that post points readers to are “venue access, Tutorial Sessions, and merchandise.” The exhibition, the photo area, and the new art do not appear there either.

The official NYCC page does not mention any of the three

Checking the official English NYCC event page as of October 9, 2026, these are its 15 headings:

  1. Details
  2. Period
  3. Location
  4. New York Comic Con Admission
  5. Event Map
  6. Tutorial Session
  7. Participant Gifts
  8. Merchandise
  9. NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat -Arriving in 2027-
  10. Giveaways
  11. Logo Sticker
  12. Panels
  13. NARUTO: What’s Next?
  14. Date
  15. Panel Room

Not one heading corresponds to a card exhibition, a photo area, or new art. Reading the body text turns up nothing on these three either.

This is also the page that was rewritten on September 19 without changing its date. In other words, there was an opportunity to add the three, and they were not added.

The Japanese official site has no NYCC page at all

As of October 9, 2026, the Japanese news list on the card game’s official site contains exactly four items:

DateAnnouncement
2026.07.29“ABOUT NARUTO CARD GAME” published
2026.07.29“BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27” event information published
2026.06.18“Gen Con 2026” event information published (links to the English page)
2026.06.18“Message from Masashi Kishimoto” published

There is no NYCC page in Japanese. The English list added the three European events (SPIEL Essen, Paris Games Week, Lucca) on September 4, while the Japanese list has not moved since July 29. This lag in Japanese-language publication has been the pattern since our August 8 article.

The Japanese official X account has only promoted the stream

The official Japanese account (@narutotcg_jp) posted a countdown at 6:00 PM JST on October 8.

(“Three days until the next reveal! The real-card video is up now! And — we’ll be bringing you the next NARUTO Card Game update at the NYCC 2026 special stage ‘NARUTO: What’s Next?’ Stream: Sunday October 11, 6:00–7:00 AM JST”)

—— @narutotcg_jp (6:00 PM JST, October 8, 2026)

This is about the October 11 stream, and it says nothing about the card exhibition, the photo area, or the new art. Right now the only place the three are documented is that one English X post.

Only two things are stated to require a ticket

On the official NYCC page, these are the two things described as requiring a ticket:

  • Tutorial Session — a tutorial session ticket is required. Tickets are handed out first come, first served each morning when the venue opens at the Bandai Namco NARUTO Booth #3001. The sessions themselves run at BANDAI CARD GAMES Booth #2705 — a different location from where tickets are distributed. One session per person for the whole convention; demo decks cannot be taken home
  • Buying the official playmat — US$35 (excl. tax). Purchase requires a retail ticket handed out first come, first served each morning at Booth #2705. One per person, limited quantities each day

For the card exhibition and the photo area, neither official X nor the official site states any entry condition. Nor has anyone official said a ticket is not needed. This is unannounced.

What can be confirmed is the wording: “In addition to our Tutorial Sessions” places the three beside the demo sessions, not inside them.

Gen Con 2026 followed exactly the same order

This is the part worth keeping. There is a pattern to how the exhibition gets announced.

Gen Con 2026 (July 30 – August 2, 2026, Indianapolis, USA)

  • Before and still now — the official Gen Con event page carries no mention of a real-card display (checked October 9, 2026; headings: Details / Period / Location / Gen Con Admission / Tutorial Session / Participant Gifts / Merchandise / Giveaways / Special Backpack / Logo Sticker / Official social media). Booth #605 appears only as a giveaway location inside the Exhibition Hall, never described as a display
  • During the show (5:30 AM JST, August 1) — official English X announced the display for the first time:
“The NARUTO CARD GAME is now on display at #GenCon 2026 in Exhibition Booth #605! Come check out the actual cards on display and see their stunning foil finish in person!” (@narutotcg_eng). A different location from Event Room #121, where the tutorial sessions ran
  • After the show (August 18) — the exhibition report on the NARUTO official site (naruto-official.com) summarized the contents afterwards as “a display of actual card samples used in the game and illustrations being revealed for the first time worldwide” plus “panels introducing the game system and video displays”

NYCC 2026 (October 8–11, 2026, New York, USA)

  • Before — the official NYCC event page carries no mention of an exhibition, a photo area, or new art (still absent after the September 19 rewrite)
  • Opening day (11:31 PM JST, October 8) — official English X announced the card exhibition, the photo area, and brand-new art reveals for the first time
  • After the show — unannounced (for Gen Con, the NARUTO official site published a report two weeks later)

The difference is when the new art was previewed

At Gen Con, the phrase “illustrations being revealed for the first time worldwide” only surfaced in a post-show report more than two weeks after the closing day. What official X highlighted during the show was the foil finish — it said nothing about new illustrations.

At NYCC, “brand-new art reveals” was previewed on the opening day itself.

That said, all the official side has stated is that new art reveals will happen. How much art, and of what, has not been announced. We do not publish predictions.

12 original artworks are already public; the illustrator is known for 2

As a point of comparison, here is a count of the original artwork already released. It was published on the official “ABOUT NARUTO CARD GAME” page on July 29, 2026, and we have 12 pieces registered in our card database.

The 12 published original artworks, by character
Naruto Uzumaki3pcs
Sasuke Uchiha3pcs
Orochimaru1pcs
Boruto Uzumaki1pcs
Jiraiya1pcs
Itachi Uchiha1pcs
Sakura Haruno1pcs
Tsunade1pcs

Of those 12, the illustrator is known for only 2 — Sasuke Uchiha (Uchiha clan) and Naruto Uzumaki (Team 7), both by Yasuhiko Kanezuka. Those are the two behind the “2 of 38 with a known illustrator” figure in yesterday’s article.

At the July 29 reveal the official site explained that the game would feature “original illustrations by a range of artists alongside artwork drawn from the anime and manga.” Who those “various artists” are remains unannounced for 10 of the 12.

The official announcements around opening day, in order

Only official sources (official site, official X) are listed.

Still unannounced

  • Where the card exhibition is — inside Booth #2705 or elsewhere (at Gen Con it was a different booth from the demo room)
  • How many cards are on display, and which — nothing beyond “some cards”
  • What the photo area contains
  • How many pieces of new art, which characters, and which illustrators
  • Entry conditions for the card exhibition and photo area — nothing official on whether a ticket is needed
  • What the October 11 panel will actually reveal — the official wording is only “the latest information on the NARUTO Card Game”
  • Whether the panel will be archived for later viewing
  • Whether there will be a post-show report — for Gen Con, the NARUTO official site published one two weeks after closing

Following from afar

The next announcement slot with a confirmed date and time is the “NARUTO: What’s Next?” panel, 6:00–7:00 AM JST on Sunday, October 11. It will be livestreamed worldwide on the NARUTO / BORUTO official YouTube channel (our September 30 article).

As for the venue exhibition and the new art: at Gen Con 2026, card faces were read off photos taken at the venue and circulated ahead of any official release (our July 31 article). Because we only register officially published information in our card database, anything read off venue photos is handled in articles with an explicit note that it is not an official announcement.

Venue details and the panel schedule are collected on our NYCC 2026 guide, and confirmed facts are tracked on the timeline.
