[Breaking] The Kyoto venue has been added to the Premier Demo Event application groups — the official page was rewritten without changing its publication date, fixing Kyoto to "apply February 1–14, results February 19"

The official site rewrote a single line without announcing it.

Checking the 先行体験会 (Premier Demo Event) page on the Japanese NARUTO CARD GAME official site today (October 20, 2026), the venues covered by the “March dates” application group had gained one more entry.

The addition is the Kyoto venue — the one venue we described in our October 13 article as “in the venue list, yet in none of the application groups.”

Basis for this article: everything below comes from the Japanese official 先行体験会 page (checked October 20, 2026) and its Wayback Machine snapshot (saved October 13, 2026, 10:02 UTC). Quotations follow the official wording. Plans may change.

1. Exactly one line changed

October 13, 2026 (archive)October 20, 2026 (today)
January datesSaitama, Tokyo 1, Tokyo 2, Hiroshima, Fukuoka(same)
February datesSendai, Osaka, Ehime(same)
March datesHokkaido, AichiHokkaido, Aichi, Kyoto

In the original Japanese:

(October 13) 3月開催分(北海道会場・愛知会場)

(October 20) 3月開催分(北海道会場・愛知会場・京都会場)

The application window itself did not change. The March group has read “応募期間:2月1日(月)ー2月14日(日)/当選発表:2月19日(金)” since October 13; Kyoto was simply added to it.

We converted both the October 13 Wayback Machine snapshot and today’s page to text and compared them in full. This one line is the only difference — the venue list (11 venues), demo decks, participation gift, how to apply, merchandise and all the footnotes are unchanged character for character.

The displayed publication date is still “2026.10.13” and there is no notice of an update. We cannot pin down when the rewrite happened: the Wayback Machine holds only the October 13 snapshot of this page, with nothing from October 14 onwards. All we can state is that Kyoto was absent from the groups on October 13 and is present on October 20.

2. Kyoto’s application window is now fixed

All 11 venues in the venue list now have an application window.

The earliest window is still the January group, opening Tuesday, December 1, 2026. Kyoto’s applications open two months after that.

Premier Demo Event application schedule (per the official page)

  2. December 25, 2026 – January 11, 2027February dates (3 venues)
  3. February 1 – 14, 2027March dates (3 venues, incl. Kyoto)
  4. February 19, 2027Results for the March dates
  5. March 14, 2027The Kyoto event day

The official page gives no years, only month, day and weekday (“2月1日(月)”). The weekdays identify these as Monday, February 1, Sunday, February 14 and Friday, February 19, 2027.

3. Corrections to this site

From October 13 until today, this site stated that “only Kyoto has no announced application method.” Those statements are wrong as of today, and we have corrected all of them.

CorrectedThe incorrect statement
October 13 article“The groupings name 10 venues in total. The Kyoto venue (March 14), which is in the venue list, appears in none of them”
CP-001 analysis“the Kyoto venue (March 14) appears in none of the three application groupings, and its application method is unannounced”
Preorder & lottery hubKyoto listed as a separate entry with “application window and announcement date both unannounced”
Timeline“The Kyoto venue (March 14) in the venue list is included in none of the three groupings”
FAQ“However, Kyoto is in none of the three groupings and its application method is unannounced”
Event calendarThe same statement

The October 13 record was accurate for the page as it stood then (the archive above confirms it). What matters is that our readers were left with “unannounced” on the page. We apologise for the error.

4. Only the heading is now out of step

October 13, 2026October 20, 2026
Heading“held at 10 stores nationwide”“held at 10 stores nationwide” (unchanged)
Venue list11 venues11 venues (unchanged)
Application groups10 venues11 venues

On October 13, the heading’s 10 matched the groups’ 10 and only the 11-venue list stood apart, which left open the reading that “the heading counts the same way the groupings do.”

That reading no longer works. The venue list and the groups both come to 11, so the only count that does not fit is the “10 stores nationwide” heading.

There is no official explanation or correction note for the heading. The misspelling of the series name is also unfixed (the heading reads “NAURTOカードゲームの先行体験会を全国10店舗で開催!”).

5. How many silent rewrites is this now?

What is worth noticing is that rewriting a page’s contents while leaving its publication date alone is a recurring pattern. Here is what this site has recorded.

  • September 19, 2026: the three European pages (SPIEL Essen, Paris Games Week, Lucca) had “registration on-site on the day” and “sold at the venue” replaced with “details to be announced later,” with the date still reading September 04, 2026 (article)
  • Between October 8 and 10, 2026: the same three pages filled in registration method and opening times, and Lucca’s participant gifts gained a Logo Sticker, with the date still reading September 04, 2026 (article)
  • Around October 15, 2026: Lucca’s registration button was enabled and all 63 session slots appeared (article)
  • October 19, 2026: we confirmed that the Location fields for SPIEL Essen and Paris Games Week carry hall and booth numbers (H5 J500, Booth N° E8); when they first appeared cannot be determined
  • October 20, 2026 (today): Kyoto added to the application groups on the Japanese 先行体験会 page

The official site adds information by quietly extending existing pages rather than posting new news items. Because a change can be as small as the contents of one pair of brackets, we will keep fetching the main pages daily and diffing them in full.

6. Still unknown

  • Capacity (how many applicants are drawn per venue — not stated for any venue)
  • Hours (neither reception times nor the number of sessions per venue is stated)
  • Participation fee (the overseas tutorial sessions state “Admission: Free”; the Japanese page says nothing)
  • Age limits, and whether BANDAI TCG+ face photo registration is required (not stated on the Japanese page. Note that the English(Asia) and Traditional Chinese versions of the equivalent page do state that face photo registration is required — see our other article today)
  • The version name of the CP-001 participation gift (no “-Gen Con 2026 Ver.-” style marking, so whether the artwork matches the overseas giveaways is unannounced)
  • Whether the “10 stores nationwide” heading will be corrected

Summary

  • The application groups on the Japanese official 先行体験会 page were rewritten with no announcement, adding the Kyoto venue to the “March dates” group. The displayed date is still 2026.10.13
  • Kyoto (March 14, 2027, GIRAFULL Kyoto) therefore has an application window of February 1–14, 2027 with results on February 19, and all 11 venues now have a window
  • A full comparison against the October 13 Wayback Machine snapshot shows this one line as the only difference
  • Our statement since October 13 that “only Kyoto has no announced application method” is wrong as of today. The article, timeline, FAQ, preorder hub and event calendar have all been corrected
  • The only remaining discrepancy is the “10 stores nationwide” heading; the venue list and the application groups now agree at 11

Application windows are tracked on our preorder & lottery hub. We will reflect any further official additions the same day, ahead of the December 1 opening.
