Teaching Session Details Published for BCG Fest Kuala Lumpur and Taipei — Seven Lottery Cities Now, and a New Window Opens Almost Every Week in September

The NARUTO Card Game pages for the Kuala Lumpur and Taipei stops of BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 now carry application details for the “Teaching Session” demo, dated September 4, 2026.

When Singapore’s details appeared on August 30 the count stood at five cities. It is now seven.

Basis for this article: everything below comes from the city pages on the BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 official site (checked September 6, 2026). Plans are subject to change.

The two newly published cities

Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)

The English page labels it a Pre-Registered Event.

Taipei (Taiwan)

The Traditional Chinese page labels it 事前報名活動 (a pre-registered event).

On the Taipei page the prize heading reads 紀念品 (“commemorative item”), the same wording used for Hong Kong. It corresponds to “Prize” on the English pages.

The application requirements are identical across all seven cities

Both new cities require face photo registration in the BANDAI TCG+ app to apply and to take part. The wording matches the five cities reported earlier word for word.

  • You cannot apply unless your profile shows “Face Photo Verified” (臉部照片已驗證 on the Traditional Chinese pages) during the application window
  • The pages warn that verification may take a week or longer, and advise registering early
  • Minors cannot register a face photo but are still eligible to participate, and are told to apply using their own account

Kuala Lumpur opens on September 18 and Taipei on September 25. Taking the “a week or longer” note at face value, there is still time to register for the cities that have not opened yet — but leaving it until close to a deadline may not work.

The seven-city lottery calendar

Here are the seven cities with published details, in order of event date.

CityEvent dayRegistrationWinner announcement
JakartaOctober 10–11August 10 – August 24 (closed)September 10 –
ManilaOctober 24–25August 21 – September 3 (closed)September 17 –
BangkokNovember 21–22September 11 – October 4October 22 –
Hong KongNovember 28–29September 1 – September 27 (open)October 15 –
SingaporeDecember 5–6September 11 – October 12November 5 –
Kuala LumpurDecember 12–13September 18 – October 25November 12 –
TaipeiDecember 19–20September 25 – November 3November 19 –

As of September 6, 2026 the only city you can actually apply for is Hong Kong (until September 27) — but a new window opens almost every week this month.

  • September 11 — Bangkok and Singapore
  • September 18 — Kuala Lumpur
  • September 25 — Taipei

And from October onwards there is no week where every window is closed (Taipei accepts applications through November 3). If you are chasing a CP-001 Chakra Card across multiple cities, clearing BANDAI TCG+ face verification during September is effectively a prerequisite.

Two patterns visible once all seven are lined up

With seven cities on the board, patterns emerge in the dates. What follows is our own count from the official dates, not something the organiser has described as intentional design.

1. Application windows grow longer for later stops

Application windows in days, counting both the opening and closing dates.

Teaching Session application window length (7 cities, by event date)
Jakarta (Oct 10–11)15days
Manila (Oct 24–25)14days
Bangkok (Nov 21–22)24days
Hong Kong (Nov 28–29)27days
Singapore (Dec 5–6)32days
Kuala Lumpur (Dec 12–13)38days
Taipei (Dec 19–20)40days

Setting aside the first two stops (Jakarta 15 days, Manila 14), the windows grow steadily: Bangkok 24 → Hong Kong 27 → Singapore 32 → Kuala Lumpur 38 → Taipei 40. We called Singapore’s 32 days “the longest so far” on August 30; the two cities published since have both beaten it.

Between the shortest (Manila, 14 days) and the longest (Taipei, 40 days) there is almost a threefold difference.

2. Exactly 30 days from winner announcement to opening day — for five of the seven

Counting the days from the winner announcement date to the first day of the event:

  • Exactly 30 days: Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei (five cities)
  • 37 days: Manila
  • 44 days: Hong Kong

Five of the seven land on “announcement date + 30 days = opening day” exactly. The official pages give the announcement as a start date only (“November 12, 2026 -”), so there is no telling which day notifications actually arrive. Even so, it gives a rough marker for guessing the announcement date of cities that have not published yet — once Shanghai’s dates are confirmed, roughly 30 days earlier becomes the candidate.

Whether the organiser is deliberately aligning that 30-day gap is unannounced. With two exceptions already on the board, please read this only as the result of counting published dates.

The labelling inconsistency did not recur in these two cities

Some earlier cities carry a mismatch between the label at the top of the page and the one in the detail block.

  • Manila and Bangkok: “Pre-Registered Event” at the top, “On-Site Registration Side Event” in the detail block
  • Singapore and Kuala Lumpur: “Pre-Registered Event” in both places
  • Taipei: 事前報名活動 in both places

The two cities added this time are internally consistent. There is no official explanation of the Manila/Bangkok mismatch; since both pages state an application window and a winner announcement date, we treat all seven as pre-registered lotteries.

CP-001 give-away occasions rise to fourteen

With these two cities, the number of CP-001 Chakra Card give-away occasions confirmable from official primary sources rises from twelve to fourteen (full list here).

The breakdown of how you get one changes too.

How to obtain CP-001 across the 14 occasions
  • Lottery (BCG Fest, 7 cities) 7occasions(50%)
  • On-site same-day (NYCC, PAX Aus, 3 European events) 5occasions(36%)
  • Advance ticket (Gen Con, closed) 1occasions(7%)
  • First-come (Yankee Stadium) 1occasions(7%)

Lotteries are now the single largest route. Half of the fourteen occasions are BCG Fest Teaching Sessions.

Nine cities have confirmed dates; Shanghai and Tokyo remain

Kuala Lumpur and Taipei have also published their main city pages (dates and venues). Of the eleven BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 cities, nine now have confirmed dates and venues.

Shanghai and Tokyo have no city page at all (we confirmed 404s), and no NARUTO Card Game content has been announced for either. There are still zero CP-001 give-away occasions in Japan.

The NARUTO pages for Orlando and London still show only two slots — “Main Event” and “Tutorial Session” — plus the line “Details will be updated in the future.”, even though both have confirmed dates and venues. The seven Asian cities all run a “Teaching Session”; these two are the only ones that also list a separate “Main Event” — worth revisiting once their details appear.

Still unannounced

  • Session times, number of sessions and capacity per session for Kuala Lumpur and Taipei
  • Number of winners and application odds
  • CP-001’s card image, effect text and version name (all seven cities list only “CP-001 Chakra Card” / “CP-001 查克拉卡”)
  • Shanghai’s dates, venue and NARUTO content
  • Tokyo’s dates, venue and NARUTO content
  • What the “Main Event” and “Tutorial Session” slots in Orlando and London actually are

Our pre-order and lottery hub tracks the status of all seven cities. We will update it as each window opens.
