You Cannot Just Walk Up to a BCG Fest NARUTO Teaching Session — All Seven Asian Cities Say Lottery Winners Only, With ID Checks at Reception and Two Separate Application Routes

Each city site for BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 carries a “Pre-Registration” page (活動參加方法 in Chinese) that is separate from its NARUTO Card Game page. Until now we have tracked the NARUTO pages — application windows, results dates, prizes — but the Pre-Registration pages turn out to hold the things you need to know before you apply, not after.

Here is what we found on September 13, 2026, after checking all seven Asian cities.

Basis for this article: everything below was confirmed directly on the Pre-Registration pages of the BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 official site and in the BANDAI TCG+ official help pages on September 13, 2026. Quotations are verbatim. Plans are subject to change.

1. Every one of the seven cities says it: winners only, no entry on the day

This is the headline. All seven Pre-Registration pages carry the same statement.

English pages (Jakarta, Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur):

*Please note that this event is open only to participants who have been selected through the lottery. Same-day registration or entry will not be available.

Traditional Chinese pages (Hong Kong, Taipei):

*本活動僅限中籤者參加。無法於活動當天直接入場，敬請見諒。

The Thai page (Bangkok) says the same thing. And in the notes at the top of the page, all seven repeat it:

*Please make sure to apply with the “BANDAI TCG+” account of the person who will participate in the event. Same-day visitors will not be able to participate in the event.

In other words, if you did not apply, or you were not selected, going to the venue will not get you in. The NARUTO Card Game demo, “Teaching Session”, runs as a lottery in all seven Asian BCG Fest cities, and the participation gift is the CP-001 Chakra Card. No page in any of the seven cities describes a way to receive that card on the day.

That is the exact opposite of what NYCC 2026, PAX Aus 2026 and the three European events stated at the time of writing: “Registration for the Tutorial Sessions is planned to take place on-site on the day of the event.” (Added September 19: those five pages have since been rewritten — PAX Aus now uses advance registration on TCG+, NYCC morning ticket handouts, and the three European pages say “to be announced”; see our September 19 article.) The same CP-001, but the BCG Fest cities leave no same-day route at all — which is the single most practical difference here.

2. ID checks at reception, and losing the right to buy goods

The notes also go further than most event pages do about what happens at the desk.

*We may ask for your ID at the reception desk on the day of the event. If the information on your “BANDAI TCG+” account is different from the information on your “BANDAI TCG+” account, you will not be allowed to participate in the tournament. In such cases, all rights to participate in the tournament and to purchase prizes and goods will be forfeited. Please understand this beforehand.

(The English text repeats “your BANDAI TCG+ account” twice and so never names what the account is being compared against; the intent is presumably ID versus account. The traditional Chinese version is clearer — 若身分證明文件資料與「BANDAI TCG+」帳號資訊不符, “if the information on your ID does not match your BANDAI TCG+ account”.)

What matters is what you lose if they do not match. The text says it is not only the right to take part, but the right to purchase prizes and goods as well. That reading would cover venue merchandise such as the official playmat at US$35 excl. tax.

All seven cities also state:

*Participation rights are non-transferable.

The Chinese pages are blunter about proxies: 嚴禁由他人代理參加 — attending on someone else’s behalf is strictly prohibited. The person who won must be the person who goes, on their own account. That is consistent with why face photo registration is mandatory — the official help page gives the reason as preventing multiple accounts and proxy participation.

3. Two application routes — per-title events, and an admission ticket

The “About the Event” block on each Pre-Registration page offers two buttons.

• Events for each title (各作品的活動) — goes to the city’s list of per-title events, which is where the NARUTO Teaching Session lives
• Admission ticket / Admission only (入場券／僅限入場券) — goes to a separate BANDAI TCG+ series page

And the notes continue:

*Please note that participants who select “Admission Only” will not be eligible to participate in any of the pre-registration events for each title.

*Please note that admission tickets allow access only to merchandise sales and teaching sessions. Participants with admission tickets will not be able to join any other pre-registration events.

So an admission ticket gets you merchandise sales and “teaching sessions” and nothing else among the pre-registration events.

This is easy to misread, so treat it carefully. One sentence reads as though an admission ticket reaches teaching sessions; yet the NARUTO Teaching Session is itself a lottery, and the same page says it is open only to those selected. The official pages never reconcile the two. You cannot currently conclude that an admission ticket lets you into the NARUTO Teaching Session.

The admission ticket’s series ID is the Teaching Session’s, plus one

Checking where each city’s admission ticket button points revealed a pattern in the BANDAI TCG+ series IDs.

Exactly one higher in all five. Kuala Lumpur (opening September 18) and Taipei (September 25) have not opened yet, and their admission ticket buttons carry no link either — just as their NARUTO application links are still unpublished. Neither city has an application destination for the Teaching Session or the admission ticket.

Note that this is an observed pattern, not a basis for predicting the next city’s ID — Bandai has not published any numbering rule.

4. What actually happens in the app after you apply

The BANDAI TCG+ official help page “Searching and applying for events” describes how lottery events behave.

For first-come, first-served events, your status becomes either “Selected” or “Waiting List” immediately after applying.

For lottery events, a random selection will be performed by the day before the event, and your status will be changed according to the result.

*The lottery schedule differs from event to event. *Lottery results are notified within the BANDAI TCG+ app.

The official Q&A says where to look:

Q. I applied for an event but I don’t know whether I was selected. A. Tap “My Events” in the menu at the bottom of the app and select the event. For a lottery event it will show “Already applied”.

On the day you go to “My Events” → the event’s “Details” and tap either “Location-based Check-in” or “2D Code Check-in”, whichever the organiser specifies.

If you end up on the waiting list

The official Q&A also covers moving up the list.

Q. When does a “Waiting List” entry move up to Selected? A. If a selected participant cancels before the day of the event, waiting-list entries are automatically moved up in order of waiting number. *No automatic promotion occurs on the day of the event, even if a selected participant cancels. *If there is no waiting number, promotion is random. Also, if on the day of the event the number of selected participants who checked in is below capacity, those on the waiting list who have checked in are moved up in order of waiting number (*promotion on the day is performed by the organiser, not automatically).

That, however, is the general BANDAI TCG+ mechanism. Whether a waiting list exists for the NARUTO Teaching Session at BCG Fest, and whether any same-day promotion happens, is not stated on any of the seven city pages. Given that every one of them says same-day registration and entry are unavailable, counting on “I’ll go anyway and maybe move up” is a bad bet.

One more note matters at an event like BCG Fest, where several titles run on the same day:

*If you apply for more than one event on the same day, regardless of card game title, the event times must be at least two hours apart.

The NARUTO Teaching Session’s session times are unannounced, so if you plan to enter another title’s tournament as well, there is currently no way to tell whether this two-hour rule will bite.

5. The seven Pre-Registration pages, as checked

The application windows and results dates on the Pre-Registration pages matched the NARUTO pages in all seven cities — the Fest-wide schedule is simply the Teaching Session’s schedule.

The nearest milestone is Manila’s results, from September 17 — four days away. Manila’s applications closed on September 3.

6. Jakarta’s extension does not cover the NARUTO Card Game

Jakarta’s Pre-Registration page carries an addition the other six do not.

The window was extended to September 6 and the results pushed back to September 18. If the NARUTO Card Game were covered, the dates we publish would be wrong.

So we opened the linked notice, dated August 28. Under “Titles” it lists these four, followed by “admission ticket” — and nothing else:

• DIGIMON CARD GAME
• UNION ARENA
• DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME FUSION WORLD
• admission ticket

The NARUTO CARD GAME is not among them. Jakarta’s NARUTO Teaching Session therefore keeps its August 24 deadline and its September 10 results date — making Jakarta the only one of the seven cities whose results date has already passed.

7. Kuala Lumpur’s link to its own Pre-Registration page 404s

A small point, but one with real consequences for anyone about to apply.

The link from Kuala Lumpur’s NARUTO page to its Pre-Registration page has a zero-width space (U+200B) at the end of the URL, so following it returns a 404.

• The URL as written: .../kualalumpur/news/kl-pre-registrationd.html plus an invisible U+200B → 404
• The same URL with the invisible character removed → loads normally

Kuala Lumpur is the only one of the seven where this happens. The page itself exists, so if the link fails, delete the tail end in the address bar and reload.

8. What is still not written down

Plenty of blanks survived this check.

• Session times — how many sessions, and at what hours — are unannounced in all seven cities
• Entry fees are absent from all seven pages (they do not say “free” either)
• Capacity appears only once, as Singapore’s “Capacity 192”; the other six say nothing
• What the results notification actually says, and whether unsuccessful applicants are notified at all, is unannounced — the help pages only say “notified in the app”
• Whether a waiting list exists for the NARUTO Teaching Session is likewise unannounced
• Orlando (January 7–10, 2027) and London (January 15–17, 2027) still show “Details will be updated in the future.” on their NARUTO pages as of September 13 (page stamps: Aug. 21, 2026 and Aug. 28, 2026)

In summary — what we confirmed on September 13, 2026

• All seven Asian BCG Fest 26-27 cities state on their Pre-Registration pages that the event is open only to lottery winners, with no same-day registration or entry
• Reception may ask for ID, and a mismatch with your BANDAI TCG+ account forfeits both participation and the right to buy prizes and goods. Rights are non-transferable and proxies are prohibited
• There are two application routes — per-title events and an admission ticket. The admission ticket’s series ID is exactly one above the Teaching Session’s, and five cities have published theirs
• Nothing official reconciles “admission tickets allow access only to merchandise sales and teaching sessions” with “open only to participants selected through the lottery”
• Jakarta’s extension and postponement do not cover the NARUTO Card Game; its results date remains September 10
• The link from Kuala Lumpur’s NARUTO page to its Pre-Registration page 404s because of a zero-width space
