Teaching Session Lottery Opens for BCG Fest Kuala Lumpur — Four Cities Now Taking Applications, and Hong Kong's Face Photo Deadline Is Tomorrow, September 20
The NARUTO Card Game page for the Kuala Lumpur stop of BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 now carries a working application link for the “Teaching Session” demo, as confirmed on September 19, 2026.
Registration for this stop was scheduled to open on September 18. In our September 12 article we wrote that “if it follows the pattern set by Bangkok and Singapore, whose URLs appeared on their opening day, it should be published when the window opens” — and that is exactly what happened.
Basis for this article: everything below was confirmed directly on the NARUTO pages and Pre-Registration pages of the BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 official site on September 19, 2026. The BANDAI TCG+ application pages are rendered in JavaScript, so we have not been able to verify their contents. Plans are subject to change.
1. What changed — the application link, before and after
When the application details were published on September 6, and again when we re-checked on September 12, Kuala Lumpur’s “Click here for registration” was still plain text with no link. Here is today’s state alongside it.
| Item | As of September 12 | As of September 19 |
|---|---|---|
| Application link | “Click here for registration” as plain text | A working link to bandai-tcg-plus.com/series/8498 |
| Page update stamp | Sep. 4, 2026 | Sep. 18, 2026 |
So the page was updated on September 18 — the scheduled opening day — and the application destination appeared, behaving exactly as Bangkok and Singapore did.
The conditions printed on the page are unchanged from the September 6 check.
| Item | Printed value |
|---|---|
| Category | Pre-Registered Event |
| Event day | December 12–13, 2026 (IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, Malaysia) |
| Registration | September 18 – October 25, 2026 (local time) |
| Winner announcement | From November 12, 2026 |
| Prize | CP-001 Chakra Card |
| Capacity | Not listed |
The page also still carries the note “*Registration is scheduled to open on September 18.” The note does not disappear once the opening date passes — the same was true for Bangkok, Singapore and Jakarta. We record it as it stands.
2. The four cities now open — nearest deadline first
As of September 19, applications are open for these four cities.
| City | Event days | Application window (local time) | Days left | Destination |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hong Kong | November 28–29 | September 1 – September 27 | 9 | series/8207 |
| Bangkok | November 21–22 | September 11 – October 4 | 16 | series/8388 |
| Singapore | December 5–6 | September 11 – October 12 | 24 | series/8408 |
| Kuala Lumpur | December 12–13 | September 18 – October 25 | 37 | series/8498 |
“Days left” counts from September 19 to the deadline, deadline day included.
The prize is a CP-001 Chakra Card in all four cities, which is common to all seven cities whose details have been published (CP-001 card page). Whether the CP-001 handed out matches the Gen Con 2026 version is not stated officially.
3. The deadline that arrives first — face photo registration
Applying for a Teaching Session requires face photo registration in the BANDAI TCG+ app. Your profile must show “Face Photo Verified” (or 臉部照片已驗證 on the Traditional Chinese pages) during the application window, and the official pages state that screening can take a week or longer (we covered the procedure in detail in our September 11 article).
In practice, then, the real limit is seven days before the deadline. Subtracting seven days from each:
- Hong Kong (closes September 27) → September 20 (tomorrow)
- Bangkok (closes October 4) → September 27
- Singapore (closes October 12) → October 5
- Kuala Lumpur (closes October 25) → October 18
Hong Kong has no slack left. The official pages say nothing about any remedy if screening takes too long to apply in time; they only advise registering your face photo well in advance because the review may take a week or more.
Kuala Lumpur, which opened today, has 37 days to its deadline — enough to start from face photo registration and still make it.
4. The admission ticket is series/8499 — the “+1” pattern holds in a sixth city
Kuala Lumpur’s “Pre-Registration” page was also updated, and the admission ticket destination is now published.
Events for each title admission only
The “admission ticket” button links to bandai-tcg-plus.com/series/8499. As set out in our September 13 article, BCG Fest applications are split into two routes — per-title events and an admission ticket — and the admission ticket’s series ID has been exactly one above the NARUTO session’s in every city so far.
| City | NARUTO Teaching Session | Admission ticket |
|---|---|---|
| Jakarta | 8080 | 8081 |
| Manila | 8122 | 8123 |
| Hong Kong | 8207 | 8208 |
| Bangkok | 8388 | 8389 |
| Singapore | 8408 | 8409 |
| Kuala Lumpur | 8498 | 8499 |
The pattern holds in a sixth city. Taipei, the one remaining stop, has published neither.
Unconfirmed: one note says admission tickets allow access only to merchandise sales and teaching sessions, while the Teaching Session itself is described as open only to lottery winners, with no same-day registration or entry. Nothing official reconciles the two as of September 19 — the situation we flagged on September 13 is unchanged.
5. What was not added — the capacity field, and an unfixed link
It is worth recording what this update did not bring.
No capacity field
After Singapore alone gained a “Capacity 192” field on September 12, the question was whether it would spread to other cities. We re-checked all seven Asian city pages today: Singapore is still the only one with a capacity field.
Kuala Lumpur’s page was updated for the opening of registration and still gained no capacity field. That settles one thing: capacity is not something that gets published when registration opens.
The zero-width space in the “Learn How to Join” link is still there
In our September 13 article we noted that the link from Kuala Lumpur’s NARUTO page to its Pre-Registration page contains a zero-width space (U+200B) and returns a 404 if clicked as written.
That character survived the September 18 update. We re-checked the equivalent link on all seven city pages today, and Kuala Lumpur is still the only one affected.
If you want to read the Pre-Registration page, this URL loads normally:
6. Taipei is next (September 25) — and five cities will overlap for three days
Taipei is the last stop still to open. As of September 19 its page still shows an update stamp of “2026.09.04” and publishes no application URL.
- Taipei (December 19–20, World Trade Center) → applications September 25 – November 3, winners announced from November 19
From September 25, when Taipei opens, to September 27, when Hong Kong closes, five cities will be open at the same time for three days — as projected in our September 12 article.
Jakarta (closed August 24) and Manila (closed September 3) have already finished, so of the seven cities with published details, Taipei is the only one that has not yet opened.
7. No movement on the official site
As of September 19, the NARUTO Card Game official site’s news feed stands as follows.
- Japanese: latest items dated July 29, 2026 (four items)
- English: latest item dated September 4, 2026 — the three European events
No new card art, new products or Japanese domestic pre-order information has been published. As set out in our article counting the card reveal pace, card faces have been published on effectively two days only — July 29 and July 31 — and today marks day 50 of the gap since.
8. What is still unknown
- The capacity for the six cities other than Singapore (only Singapore’s 192 is known)
- Each city’s Teaching Session day (which of the two event days), times, fee and application odds
- Whether the CP-001 handed out uses the same artwork as the Gen Con version
- How the note that admission tickets cover teaching sessions squares with “winners only”
- Taipei’s application URL (scheduled to open September 25)
- What NARUTO will actually run at Orlando, London, Tokyo and Shanghai (Orlando and London still read “Details will be updated in the future.”; Shanghai has no detail page at all)
Summary
- The NARUTO page for BCG Fest 26-27 Kuala Lumpur was updated on September 18, and the Teaching Session application link is now a working link to
series/8498 - That makes four cities open at once: Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, closing on September 27, October 4, October 12 and October 25 respectively
- Because face photo screening can take a week or more, the target dates to start are September 20 for Hong Kong (tomorrow), September 27 for Bangkok, October 5 for Singapore and October 18 for Kuala Lumpur
- The admission ticket destination
series/8499appeared too, so the “ticket ID = NARUTO session ID + 1” pattern now holds in six cities - No capacity field was added — Singapore (192) remains the only one of the seven. The zero-width space breaking one link is also still unfixed
- Taipei opens next, on September 25, and five cities will overlap for the three days of September 25–27
