Sasuke Uchiha (N-014) has HP 11, the highest known — the only card that names a type in its Summon Requirements, and the only SR EX Character you could actually pay for with known cards

Part 17 of our one-card analysis series. Today: Sasuke Uchiha (N-014).

In the previous entry on Naruto Uzumaki (N-003) we found that the four known EX Characters form two mirrored pairs — 11/10 ⇄ 10/11 and 10/8 ⇄ 8/10. This card sits on the 10/11 side.

Looking at it side-on as a mirror partner, we missed something. Read head-on, one very concrete fact falls out: this is the only SR EX Character you could actually put on the board using the cards whose faces we can currently read.

What this article is based on: N-014’s card face comes from photos of the English demo card taken at Gen Con 2026 (SAMPLE watermark, NOT FOR SALE marking). Neither the official site nor the official X accounts have published this card’s face or any Japanese text for it. Because the source is not an officially published image, this article carries no quoted card image. Counts are drawn from the 38 entries in our card database (24 with readable effect text; 20 characters with readable stats). The official rulebook and card list are still unpublished, and we keep speculation clearly separated from confirmed facts.

1. Reading the card face

EX Characters have no chakra cost field (all four are the same, as covered in our comparison of the four EX Characters). The effect text runs four lines.

Cannot be summoned normally. [Summon Requirements] Place 1 of your Characters and 1 of your {The Taka} type Characters in your trash. [Rush] (This card can attack on the turn in which it is summoned.) [On Summon] Choose 1 Character: K.O. the chosen card.

To the right of the card number sit an “SR” mark and a circled icon (SR accounts for five known cards, per our rarity breakdown).

2. HP 11 belongs to exactly one card

Start with the stats. Here is the HP spread across the 20 known characters.

HP 11 is a value only this card holds among the 20 known characters.

POW+HP comes to 21, tying EX Naruto (N-003) at 11+10 for the known maximum. Third is 18 (Gamabunta N-005, Manda N-022) — the four EX Characters hold the top four places outright.

DMG 3 is likewise shared only by N-003 and this card.

Between two cards that are otherwise identical, only N-014 leans toward the number that endures rather than the number that hits. Seven of the 20 known characters have HP above POW, and only two of those — this card and Manda (N-022) — also have POW of 10 or more.

Speculation from here: HP above POW looks like a body built to stay on the board rather than to swing. But what HP actually represents is unannounced — nothing official says a character is K.O.‘d when HP hits zero. Beyond the size of the numbers, there is nothing to claim.

3. The only known card that writes a type into its Summon Requirements

This is the line that sets the card apart.

[Summon Requirements] Place 1 of your Characters and 1 of your {The Taka} type Characters in your trash.

Here are the Summon Requirements of all four known EX Characters.

The number of cards placed tracks rarity exactly (C and R place one, SR places two). And as for how the condition is written —

N-014 is the only one of the four that names a type in curly braces.

As covered in our write-up on types, referencing a type in curly braces inside effect text also appears on Itachi Uchiha (N-013) with {Uchiha Clan} and Jūgo (N-019) with {The Taka}. But both of those are “if the revealed card has it” checks — writing a type into the cost you pay is unique to N-014.

One more detail: the card itself carries {The Taka}. No other known card demands a type it also possesses.

4. Sort by “can you actually pay this with known cards” and only two survive

The wall we ran into in part 1 on Gamabunta (N-005) bites again here.

Only three known characters have power 10 or more, and all three are EX Characters (N-003, N-005, N-014). So “place a Character with power 10 or more in your trash” means that, within what is currently known, you must first summon another EX Character and then throw it away.

Re-sorted on that basis, the four look like this.

N-014 asks for “1 of your Characters” plus “1 of your {The Taka} type Characters”. Six known entries carry {The Taka}; of those, the ones with readable stats that could pay the cost are Karin (N-010), Jūgo (N-019) and Suigetsu Hozuki (N-021) — three non-EX characters.

The Leader N-012 also carries {The Taka}, but a Leader is not a “Character”, so the natural reading is that it cannot satisfy “1 of your {The Taka} type Characters” (Leaders sit in their own single slot on the board).

Of the two known SRs, N-014 is the only one you could actually summon with the card faces we can read today.

Speculation from here: N-003’s condition stays unpayable presumably because there are unrevealed non-EX characters with power 10 or more, or because some other stepping stone arrives later — but nothing official addresses it. N-014, by contrast, already has three known cards that satisfy its condition. Note that the “Sasuke side” grouping in our read of the demo deck list is our own inference from type lines; which cards sat in which deck has never been officially announced.

5. Nothing at all is written on this removal’s target

The last line of the effect.

[On Summon] Choose 1 Character: K.O. the chosen card.

Six known cards carry a K.O. effect. Our Jiraiya (N-006) article split them by how many targets they select; here we re-sort them by what condition is written on the target.

N-014 is the only known removal that both selects a target and puts no condition on it.

Concretely, that makes it the only “choose 1” effect that can name an EX Character. Hinata’s removal explicitly says “non-EX Character”, and as our EX Character write-up found, EX Characters are usually the group carved out of effects. Here is the exception.

There is also no “your” restriction. Read literally, you may choose your own characters. As the Jiraiya article noted, none of the six K.O. cards carries a “your” restriction, so that part is not specific to N-014.

6. Rush, power 10 and an on-summon K.O. sit on one card

Read lines three and four together and you get: K.O. one of the opponent’s characters the moment it arrives, then swing for 10 the same turn.

Four known cards have [Rush] printed on them: N-003, N-014, Minato Namikaze (N-007) and Ino Yamanaka (N-011). But N-007 only gains it conditionally (“if this character’s power is 10 or more”) and N-011 hands it out to others, so only N-003 and N-014 carry it unconditionally for themselves.

Unconfirmed: Whether trading two characters in the trash for this one card is a good deal cannot be computed. As covered in our Leader life write-up, LIFE 15 on Leaders and the win condition (reduce the opponent Leader’s LP to zero) are officially confirmed — but how much life an attack actually removes, and whether DMG is that amount, are unannounced. There is currently no basis for saying “DMG 3 is strong.”

7. The type line matches the Sasuke Leader word for word

Finally the type line: {Fire} {Lightning} {Uchiha Clan} {The Taka}. Those four words in that order are exactly the type line of Sasuke Uchiha the Leader (N-012).

Across the 38 known entries, seven groups share an identical type line. Two of them include a Leader card, and both take the same shape: a Leader plus that deck’s EX Character.

Each side has one Leader/EX pair whose type lines do not differ by a single word.

Given that the two Gen Con demo decks split into a “Naruto side” and a “Sasuke side”, each deck’s Leader and its finisher EX Character appear to be paired through the type line.

Unconfirmed: Nothing official says that the leading word of a type line — {Fire}, {Lightning} — is the card’s “color”. The official site explains only that “Character cards can be built to match your Leader’s color” (see the glossary entry for colors), and cards like Hinata Hyuga lead with {Hyuga Clan}, so there is no simple mapping. Whether N-012 and N-014 holding both {Fire} and {Lightning} means “two colors” is likewise unannounced.

As an aside, six known cards are named “Sasuke Uchiha” (N-012, N-014, the Chidori version and three art versions) — tied with “Naruto Uzumaki” for the most of any name.

8. What is still unknown

• Whether “Character” includes Leaders (the natural reading is no, but no official definition exists)
• Whether the [On Summon] K.O. can hit EX Characters (nothing is carved out on the card, but rules-side limits are unannounced)
• When and where Summon Requirements are paid (from hand? from a dedicated zone? unannounced)
• How DMG, HP and life relate (how much of the opponent’s life DMG 3 removes is unannounced)
• How many other cards carry {The Taka} (only six known entries)
• Japanese card name and effect text (only the English demo card has been confirmed)

All of it waits on the official rulebook and card list. We will update the card database page and this article as things are confirmed.

Summary

• Sasuke Uchiha (N-014) is an EX Character, rarity SR: DMG 3 / POW 10 / HP 11, types {Fire} {Lightning} {Uchiha Clan} {The Taka}
• HP 11 is the highest value among the 20 known characters and unique to this card. POW+HP of 21 ties N-003 for the maximum, and the EX Characters hold the top four places
• It is the only known card that writes a type ({The Taka}) into its Summon Requirements — and it carries {The Taka} itself
• Of the four known EX Characters, only N-014 and N-022 have requirements payable with known non-EX cards. Among the two SRs, only N-014
• Its [On Summon] “Choose 1 Character: K.O. the chosen card” is the only known single-target removal with no condition on the target — and the only “choose 1” that can name an EX Character
• Its type line does not differ by a word from Leader Sasuke Uchiha (N-012). N-001 and N-003 share the same relationship
• But how DMG, HP and life relate is unannounced, so whether these numbers are strong in play cannot be computed
